Shri. R.N.Kulkarni, Asstt. Engineer, HPT AIR Malad, Mumbai retired on Superannuation.

Shri. Ramesh Narashinh Kulkarni joined HPT, AIR, Malad, Mumbai as Engineering Assistant on 6th Sept. 1985. On 31st October 1989 he got promotion as Senior Engineering Assistant and posted at Doordarshan Mumbai. In 1991 he was transferred to HPT Malad on the same post. In the same capacity he was transferred to AIR Gwalior in August 1999. In August 2004, he was transferred to Doordarshan Mumbai. He also served AGD Office (WZ) as SEA. In December 2018 he was promoted as Assistant Engineer and posted at HPT AIR Malad Mumbai till his retirement on 31st July. 2020. He served the department almost 35 years with full dedication. 
On 31st July, 2020 farewell ceremony was organised in HPT,AIR Malad office, following social distancing norms. Senior officers appreciated Mr. Kulkarni's valuable contribution, during their speeches. The staff of HPT Malad will always remember him for his friendly and cooperative nature.
He was disciplined, hardworking and sincere person throughout his carrier. His humble, sober and soft nature made him popular among the staff.   

Staff of HPT Malad gives best wishes for him on retirement, Enjoy your time with your family and friends. May every moment of your life be fulfilling and full of joy.

Prasar Bharati Parivar wishes him a very happy, healthy, peaceful and contended retired life.

आकाशवाणी लखनऊ में पदस्थ वरिष्ठ अभियांत्रिकी सहायक श्री के .पी. सिंह को अधिवर्षता की आयु प्राप्त करने पर सेवानिवृत होने के अवसर पर उन्हें ससम्मान विदाई पार्टी दी गई ।
इस अवसर पर उन्हें उपहार ,पुष्प गुच्छ आदि देने के साथ ही उनके रिटायरमेंट के बाद के स्वस्थ एवं प्रसन्न जीवन हेतु शुभकामनाएं भी दी गई। आकाशवाणी लखनऊ परिवार के कार्यक्रम, प्रशासन और तकनीकी सभी अनुभाग के सदस्य उपस्थित थे और उनके साथ एक ग्रुप फोटो में सम्मिलित भी हुए ।

आप अपनी जुझारू कार्यशैली व व्यवहार कुशलता के लिए जाने जाते हैं श्री नरेश पानतावणे जी सिर्फ अपने सहकर्मियों के ही नहीं बल्कि वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों के भी चहेते रहे हैं श्री नरेश पानतावणे जी ने अपनी सेवा यात्रा जुलाई 1985 में दूरदर्शन केंद्र मुंबई से बतौर अभियांत्रिकी सहायक प्रारंभ की अपनी कार्यकुशलता व तकनीकी दक्षता से आप ने मात्र 4 वर्षों में ही पदोन्नति प्राप्त की और वरिष्ठ अभियांत्रिकी सहाय्यक के पद पर दूरदर्शन केंद्र मुंबई में पदस्थ हुए इसके पश्चात सन 1993 में आप सहायक अभियंता पद पर पदोन्नत होकर दूरदर्शन केंद्र मुंह सिलचर में पदस्थ हुए सिलचर का कार्यकाल काफी चुनौतीपूर्ण रहा इसके पश्चात आप अपने गृह नगर नागपुर में पदस्थ हुए यह कार्यकाल काफी छोटा रहा नागपुर के पश्चात आपने मुलताई और एलपीटी केंद्र छिंदवाड़ा में भी अपनी सेवाएं दी सन 2018 में आपकी पदोन्नति सहायक निदेशक अभियांत्रिकी पद पर हुई और आप आकाशवाणी छिंदवाड़ा में पदस्थ हुए यह आकाशवाणी के साथ आपका पहला जुड़ाव रहा इसके पूर्व आपने अपनी सेवाएं सिर्फ दूरदर्शन केंद्र में ही दी किंतु अपनी तकनीकी दक्षता को दिखाते हुए आपने आकाशवाणी छिंदवाड़ा को कुछ अमूल्य सौगात प्रदान की जैसे आकाशवाणी छिंदवाड़ा के ट्रांसमीटर की क्षमता 5 किलो वाट से 10 किलो वाट की गई आपके ही कार्यकाल में रेडियो कार्यक्रमों की लाइव स्ट्रीमिंग प्रारंभ हुई और कई अन्य तकनीकी कार्य किए गए जिसके लिए आकाशवाणी छिंदवाड़ा को काफी सराहना प्राप्त हुई दिनांक 31 जुलाई 2020 आपके सेवा यात्रा का अंतिम दिन था किंतु आपके द्वारा दी गई अमूल्य सेवाओं को आकाशवाणी और दूरदर्शन कभी भुला नहीं पाएंगे आकाशवाणी परिवार आपके स्वस्थ जीवन एवं सुखी जीवन की मंगल कामना करता है

Smt. M. RAJESWARI, SEA, AIR, Chennai retired on 31/07/2020

Smt. M. Rajeswari joined as Engineering Assistant on 16.04.1990 at AIR Chennai and later went on transfer to AIR Puducherry on 27.02.2004. She was promoted as SEA on 11.05.2009. After another stint of nearly 05 years at AIR Puducherry from 2012 onwards, she joined at AIR Chennai in 2017 where she continued her services till her retirement on superannuation in July 2020.

Smt. M. Rajeswari, SEA is a very sincere, dedicated and a soft spoken official. She not only is a voracious reader but has a good ear for music too.

On her retirement from Govt. service on 31.07.2020, all the Staff of AIR, Chennai and Prasar Bhararti Parivar wish Smt. M. Rajeswari, SEA, a very Happy, Healthy and a Blessed retired life.

Jaideep Bhatnagar takes over as Director General of AIR News

Mr. Jaideep Bhatnagar, an Indian Information Service Officer of 1986 batch, has taken over the charge as Director General, News Services Division of All India Radio.

Mr. Bhatnagar had earlier served in various positions in Prasar Bharati including as its West Asia Correspondent and in the Press Information Bureau. He replaces Ms. Ira Joshi, who superannuated as Principal Director General, AIR News on 31st of last month.

I&B Minister Launches 'DD Assam' Channel Virtually - News Report

Union Minister of Information & Broadcasting, Prakash Javadekar, on August 4, digitally launched “DD Assam,” a 24X7 Assamese satellite channel. "The launch of 24X7 satellite channel DD Assam is a great gift to the state of Assam, which sends the message of unity in diversity," said Javadekar. "Assam and North Eastern Region is so full of natural diversity and cultural richness and yet it carries the thread of unity. It is hence necessary that each state has its own Doordarshan channel," he added.

"DD Assam will go a long way in showcasing the rich history of the state. Every region has a rich diversity, Assam also has a lot to say to the people of the state and the country," said the director general of Doordarshan.

"DD Assam will help us to get messages, initiatives and programmes of the government to the grassroots," said Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal ------------

श्री. ओमप्रकाश चौरसिया जी दूरदर्शन रिले सेंटर पौड़ी उत्तराखंड यहां अभियांत्रिकी सहायक के पद पर कार्यरत है। उन्होंने अपनी दिवंगत पत्नी श्रीमती रेणुका की याद में एक स्वयंसेवी संस्था की स्थापना की है। यह संस्था में सामाजिक दायित्व निभाने हेतु श्री. चौरसिया जी खुद अपना अंशदान जमा करके समाज के गरीब तबके के होनहार बच्चोंको शिक्षा प्राप्त करने हेतु आर्थिक मदत करते है। इस नेक काम करने हेतु आम लोगोंमे अपील करते है कि ऐसे किसी विद्यार्थी के बारे में संस्था में अर्जी दाखिल करके अवगत कराएं। फिर संस्था के समिति में शामिल मान्यवर आवश्यकता के अनुसार चयन करेंगे और उस विद्यार्थी के एक साल के स्कूल या कॉलेज की फी की जिम्मेदारी संस्था उठाएगी। 

इस साल के लिए चयन कमिटी के निर्णय के अनुसार निम्न बच्चों का योजना के अंतर्गत साल 2020-2021 के लिए चयन हुआ हैं-

*दूरदर्शन बांदा के सहायक अभियंता की हुई सेवानिवृत्ति  विदाई*।स्थानीय इंदिरा नगर में स्थित दूरदर्शन एवं आकाशवाणी केंद्र बांदा में आज दूरदर्शन  केंद्र बांदा के सहायक अभियंता आदरणीय श्री  राज करण वर्मा जी सेवानिवृत्त हो  गए । इस अवसर पर   दूरदर्शन   एवं आकाशवाणी के सभी कर्मचारियों ने मिलकर उन्हें भावभीनी विदाई दी।

 दूरदर्शन केंद्र बांदा पर एक  सेवानिवृत्त विदाई  समारोह  आयोजित किया  गया  जिसमें  आकाशवाणी  एफ एम  केंद्र बांदा  के सहायक अभियंता  आदरणीय  श्री आर के गुप्ता  एवं दूरदर्शन  केंद्र  बांदा के सहायक  अभियंता  आदरणीय  श्री  ए.  एस . त्रिपाठी  सहित  सभी कर्मचारियों  ने vभाग लिया। इस  अवसर पर आयोजित समारोह की अध्यक्षता आदरणीय श्री वी के पांचाल सेवा निवृत्त सहायक अभियंता दूरदर्शन  केंद्र  कर्वी  ने  एवं  संचालन श्री सजल कुमार रेंडर ने किया।

  आज के इस कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत में समारोह के अध्यक्ष आदरणीय श्री वी के  पांचाल  जी द्वारा  आदरणीय  श्री आर के वर्मा जी सहायक अभियंता को  माला पहनाकर  उनका स्वागत  किया गया। आदरणीय श्री आर के गुप्ता जी  सहायक अभियंता  आकाशवाणी  एफ एम केंद्र बांदा और आदरणीय श्री अजय शंकर त्रिपाठी जी सहायक अभियंता दूरदर्शन केंद्र बांदा द्वारा शाल ओढ़ाकर उनको सम्मानित किया गया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन कर रहे सजल कुमार रेंडर ने सभी कर्मचारियों से अनुरोध  किया  है कि वह भी अपने अपने  विचार  व  अनुभव को साझा करें।कार्यक्रम की  शुरुआत  करते हुए  दूरदर्शन  केंद्र  बांदा के सहायक  अभियंता  आदरणीय  श्री . अजय  शंकर  त्रिपाठी  जी  ने सर्वप्रथम श्री आर के वर्मा जी सहायक अभियंता के साथ बिताए हुए समय को याद किया और उनके सरल व सौम्य स्वभाव की चर्चा की। दूरदर्शन केंद्र बांदा से सेवा निवृत्त  हो  चुके  सहायक  आदरणीय श्री बाबूलाल  जी ने  बताया कि  मैंने अपनी  पूरी  सेवा  के  दौरान ऐसा ईमानदार अफसर नहीं देखा। इसके बाद आकाशवाणी और दूरदर्शन के सभी कर्मचारियों ने अपने अपने  विचार  व्यक्त  किए। इस  बीच संबोधन की कड़ी में बीच-बीच में संचालन कर्ता द्वारा दिल्ली, लखनऊ एवं कानपुर से आए हुए वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों की शुभकामना संदेश भी प्राप्त होते रहे जिन्हें पढ़के सुनाए गए। आदरणीय श्री आर के वर्मा सहायक अभियंता दूरदर्शन केंद्र बांदा ने बताया कि मेरा ज्यादातर समय दूरदर्शन केंद्रों में ही बीता है और मैंने वहीं कार्य किया है लेकिन पिछला जो समय मेरा यहां दूरदर्शन केंद्र बांदा के कर्मचारियों के साथ काम करते हुए बीता वह वाकई में मेरे साथ एक सुनहरी याद के रूप में हमेशा हमेशा साथ रहेगा। दूरदर्शन केंद्र राठ से आए आदरणीय श्री विजय कुमार वर्मा जी द्वारा प्रतीक चिन्ह भेंट किया गया। दूरदर्शन केंद्र कर्वी से आए आदरणीय श्री प्रशांत चौरसिया व श्री राम किशुन राही जी ने भी उन्हें प्रतीक चिन्ह भेंट करते हुए अपने सम्बोधन में कहा कि हमने साथ में कार्य तो नहीं किया परंतु जैसा कि सभी लोगों से चर्चा में सुनते रहे आपके सरल और सहज स्वभाव का आकर्षण ही हमें यहां खींच लाया है।विदाई समारोह की समाप्ति के पश्चात आदरणीय श्री आरके वर्मा जी द्वारा दूरदर्शन केंद्र परिसर में शरीफा का पौधा लगाया गया इस अवसर पर उन्होंने  कहा कि यह हमारी यादगार के रूप में हमेशा यहां  विद्यमान  रहेगा। इस  अवसर पर श्री डीके  कुरील, श्री रामराज कैथल, श्री बिनीत कुमार गुप्ता, श्री विनय कुमार अहिरवार, श्री  जे  एस  भदौरिया,श्री  एन  के  पाठक,  श्री  तरुण  यादव, श्री मौजीलाल, श्री प्रमोद कुमार गुप्ता, श्री अनिल कुमार गुप्ता, रामखेलावन सहित सभी कर्मचारियों ने अपनी उपस्थिति दी। अंत में दूरदर्शन केंद्र बांदा के सहायक अभियंता आदरणीय श्री अजय शंकर त्रिपाठी जी ने सभी का धन्यवाद देते हुए आभार जताया।

In spite of “COVID 19 Pandemic”, As a “Public Service Broadcaster of India”, Employees of Doordarshan & AIR are performing duties 24 X 7 and Sincere efforts were made for LIVE telecast of various important events from various parts of India.







In view of COVID 19 pandemic, a “COVID 19 ANTIGEN TESTING CAMP” was organized on 8th August, 2020 by Doordarshan Kendra Ahmedabad in association with Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation at Community Hall, Akashdarshan Colony for the benefit of employees and family members of Doordarshan & All India Radio.

62 persons were tested by the medical team during the camp and reports of all the persons tested are NEGATIVE.

Obituary : Mr SC Kasgiwal former ADG Prasar Bharati and an ace Broadcast Engineer passed away

With profound grief and sadness It is to inform that Mr SC Kasgiwal former ADG Prasar Bharati and our colleague passed away yesterday night by 9:30 pm in Mumbai hospital after two weeks of illness. Mr Kasgiwal was tested COVID-19 positive on 26 July and admitted in Bombay Hospital near Church Gate on 27 July.. His condition started deteriorating from 5th August and he breathed last yesterday night. The cremation took place yesterday night itself and his son-in-law only was allowed to attend the cremation.

Shri Khasgiwal had an illustrious career in AIR and Doordarshan and retired as Chief Engineer from Mumbai. He is credited with installation of may key projects of All India Radio and Doordarshan. He was a very active member of Broadcast Engineering Society (India) and held the position of Chairman, BES(I), Mumbai Chapter. His enormous contribution to Broadcast Engineering Society (India) will be long remembered.

TRANSLATION OF NEWS ABOUT AIR (FM) ADILABAD (T.S) :-

Mr. Gaikwad Sanjeev, is a lover of FM radio. But, he has a problem of FM radio signals reception in his village Eshwar Nagar in Indrevelli Mandal in Adilabad district. He thought of creatively and found the solution for it. Now, he is able to catch All India Radio (FM) Adilabad and Nizamabad stations in Telangana state to enjoy Telugu songs and News and Yavatmal station of Maharastra state to enjoy Marathi songs and News. All he did is, installed two long wooden poles on the ground. At the top end of the wooden pole is fixed the steel plate with electric wire hanging downwards. This way he is receiving FM radio signals in mobile phone by keeping it near to electric wire at down end of the wire. People, whoever heard this started appreciating him a lot.

आकाशवाणी पुरोधा डा.उपेंद्र रैणा ने आकाशवाणी के लिए वर्ष 1988 में सम्पन्न अपनी पहली विदेश यात्रा की सुनहरी यादें शेयर की हैं।
अपने फेसबुक पेज पर वह लिखते हैं;

"जब आपको 32 साल पुराना अपना फ़ोटो एल्बम हाथ लग जाता है तो आप ख़ुद सोच सकते हैं कि उसमें चस्पाँ फ़ोटो आपके अतीत की कितनी परतें खोल देते हैं। ... एल्बम में मुझे कुछ ऐसे चित्र मिले जो मेरी पहली विदेश यात्रा के अनुभव से सम्बंधित हैं ।.....सितंबर, 1988 में सूचना एवं प्रसारण मंत्रालय, भारत सरकार द्वारा आकाशवाणी की तरफ़ से मुझे और सुश्री सुखजिंदर कौर (जो उन दिनों आकाशवाणी जालन्धर में प्रोड्यूसर थीं ) को Radio Journalism ( Programme Management and Planning ) पर एक महीना कोर्स के लिए Berlin, East Germany भेजा गया था ।वास्तव में उन दिनों East Germany और West Germany के बीच Berlin Wall होने के कारण हमारी यात्रा केवल East Berlin और East Germany के अन्य शहरों तक ही सीमित रही। बाद में एक-दो वर्षों के बाद ही वह दीवार हटाने की प्रक्रिया शुरू हो गई थी । इस विदेश यात्रा से सम्बंधित यहाँ जो कुछ चित्र साझा कर रहा हूँ वो East Germany के महत्वपूर्ण शहर Querfurt के भ्रमण के दौरान लिए गए थे, जिनमें वहाँ के उच्चाधिकारियों के अलावा मेरे और सुखजिंदर जी के साथ हमारे मार्गदर्शक मि० क्रुयघर भी उपस्थित हैं ।

Himachal Pradesh CM to launch mass contact programme on lines of PM’s Mann Ki Baat

Himachal Pradesh chief minister Jai Ram Thakur will be launching a mass contact programme on the lines of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly broadcast, Mann Ki Baat, to interact with people of the state on social media, radio and television.

The programme will be broadcast once a month and the state government has sought suggestions from people on an attractive name for it. The launch date will be announced soon. People can share suggestions for the title of the programme on MyGov Himachal portal. The best entry will get a cash prize of ₹5,000. The last date for submission of entries is August 15. The programme will be broadcast by MyGov Himachal portal and the Himachal Pradesh information and public relations department.

A government spokesperson said that the chief minister wants to stay in touch with people of the state through digital means to address the problems faced by them during the coronavirus pandemic. “Considering the importance of technology nowadays and to increase public participation in governance, the chief minister is considering to start the programme,” he said. People can share their views on events besides inspirational works and provide feedback on state government schemes. “The common man can convey his views directly to the chief minister. It will certainly help in redressing grievances,” the spokesperson said.

Mann Ki Baat is a radio programme hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he addresses the people of the nation on All India Radio, DD National and DD News.
