Joined as a Craftsman Carpenter at Doordarshan Kendra, Cuttack on 25.09.1985, Shri Singh was transferred to DDK, Bhubaneswar in November,1992 when DDK,Cuttack was shifted to Bhubaneswar. He has worked in all the major programmes of Doordarshan with full dedication . He has served the organisation over a period of 32 years and 08 months. He is a soft spoken and disciplined employee of the organisation.

Sri. K. S. Yogananda, Assistant Research Officer, AIR, Bangalore is going to retire on 31.05.2018 from Government service on superannuation.  He joined AIR, Cuttack 22.06.1983 and transferred to AIR, Bangalore. He served All India Radio for more than   35 years .  He is always remembered as very humble and sincere person.   Akashvani Recreation club organised farewell to Sri. Yogananda on 31.05.2018.  A. Hanumanthu, DDG(E) honored on behalf of club and wished him retired life. Gopinath, Secretary of the Akashvani Recreation club welcome the gathering.  S.S. Chollin compere the programme.  T.V. Vidyashanka, Naveenchandra and  S.P. Methre and other staff members wished for his future life.  All the Staff members of Primary channel, CBS, CRD wing, CCW, News Unit, Audience Research Unit are attended the function.  Tea and snacks are served after the function.

इंदिरा कला एवं संगीत विश्वविद्यालय खैरागढ़ से 'कंठ संगीत'यानी व्हीकल म्यूजिकल में एमए की है |

छत्तीसगढ़ी के लोकगीतों को अपनी स्वर देने वाली विदुषी ममता चंद्राकर जी को वर्ष 2016 में पद्मश्री पुरस्कार से नवाजा गया | यह कला के क्षेत्र में छत्तीसगढ़ को नौंवी पुरस्कार था |

छत्तीसगढ़ की स्वर कोकिला अपनी बेमिसाल आवाज़, और छत्तीसगढ़ की लोक कला को देश और दुनिया मे पहचान दी | विदुषी ममता चन्द्राकर जी छत्तीसगढ़ी फिल्मों के निर्देशक श्री प्रेम चंद्राकर की जीवनसंगिनी है | प्रेम जी का साथ उनको नई नई उच्चाईयो की ओर अग्रसर करता रहा |

Film Competition to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Last date : 15th June, 2018,.

The apostle of peace, Mahatma Gandhi has aspired film makers across the world to make films based on his life and message. The upcoming 150th birth anniversary of Gandhi to be celebrated is a great occasion to further explore the philosophy and ideals of the Mahatma through the medium of films. To encourage film makers, a competition to make web-based films on different thoughts and messages of Mahatma Gandhi is being instituted. Each film should be of at least three minutes and up to a maximum of six minutes duration only and should be based on the theme of Gandhi, also his relevance in present day and age. The film should be complete in all respects. It can be in any Indian language or English. The film can be shot on mobile and uploaded also.

Cash Award:: 1st Prize: Rs 20,000, 2nd Prize: Rs 15,000, 3rd Prize: Rs 10,000.

On 31st May, 2018, three of our beloved colleague’s official life came to an end on a happy note as they attained superannuation. Smt. K. Bharaty, MTS, Shri. K. V Sreekumar, Accountant and Shri. K. Sreekantan Nair, News Reader cum Translator have put numerous years of their life in the service of Akashvani and Doordarshan. Everyone appreciated their diligence, hard work and the wonderful contributions they made in their entire span of service. Akashvani Recreation Club organized a function to honor them and also gave them a befitting farewell. All the Staff Members expressed their gratitude to the retiring officials and wished them a healthy, happy and peaceful life. Prasar Bharati Parivar wishes him a very happy, healthy, peaceful and contended retired life.

FARWELL PARTY TO STAFF MEMBERS ON RETIERMENT ON SUPERANNUATION. 


Superannuation is in every individual’s life when he or she joins Government Department. Three members of Doordarshan Ahmedabad family Shri L.M.Dave (TREX), Shri D.B.Gohel (Floor Assistant)  and Shri  K.N.Gosai (Motor Driver) retired on 31st May, 2018 on Superannuation.





The retirees were honoured with a warm farewell, which was well-knit and emotionally touching. All the senior level officers were also present on the occasion. The function began with an welcome speech by the AO Shri V K Duggel. Staff members present on the occassion recalled their memories & experience with retiring members. The retiring members shared their experiences & journey of service in Doordarshan. Slowly the function took an emotional turn and the retiring employees were running short of words bound by emotions and gratitude.

Shri   Kamlendra Sarbhai, DDG (E) & HOO, Smt. Rupa Mehta ADP & HOP, Shri Dharmendra Tiwari, Director (News), Shri P T Appukutan, DDE & Shri Anil Bhardwaj, DDE addressed the gathering and conveyed wishes for healthy retired life.  Memento was presented to the retiring members.

DDK, Ahmedabad & Prasar Bharati Parivar wishes him success & good health in future.

'Best Employee of the Month' award bestowed upon Shri. Biwalkar, Pawar and Sutar in AIR Pune.

On 31st May 2018, a function was organised in AIR Pune's auditorium. A farewell ceremony for Dr. Pratima Jagtap (Sr. Announcer AIR Pune) and Shri. Sudam Shewale (Driver Gr. I) who were retired on superannuation, was conducted. In this function 'Best Employee of The Month' awards for April 2018 were distributed. First Smt. Upadhye [AD(E)] declared Shri. Sandeep Biwalkar, EA as best employee from engineering section. His contribution in installation of new digital STL made him eligible to win this award. Then Shri. Sonavane [AD(OL)] announced name of Shri. Vitthal Sutar, MTS as best employee from Admin. section. He assisted during financial year closing and up-keeping old records in office. It was followed by announcement by Shri. Pingale (PEX) about best employee from programme section. This time Shri. Vijay Pawar (Music Composer) selected as best employee. Recently his composed and Shri. Gopal Autee's penned signature tune for programme "Salam Vardi" became very popular among the radio listeners. Earlier his compositions for various programme's signature tunes were well appreciated. Shri. Ashish Bhatnagar [DDG(E) & HHO], Shri. Gopal Autee [Dy.Director (Prog)], Shri. Nitin Kelkar [AD(News)] and Shri. Sahebrao Sonavane [AD(OL)] were present on stage. They distributed the Mementos to prize winners. 

It was followed by felicitation ceremony of Dr. Pratima Jagtap and Shri. Sudam Shewale. Shri. Bhatnagar presented 'Certicicate of Honor'  to both retiring employees. Many staff members & friends of Dr. Jagtap and Shri. Shewale offered gifts as a token of their love and affection. Many staff members including officers present upon dais expressed their feelings, shared their experiences while working with them and wish them happy retired life. A function was hosted by Pravin Kulkarni (TREX). His crispy comments during the function well entertained the gathering.

The function concluded after the delicious lunch offered by Dr. Jagtap and Shri. Sewale.

Obituary:Babu T, ADE, DDK Trivendrum Expired toay

Shri Babu T who was recently promoted as ADE at DDK Trivendrum ,expired in the early morning today due to heart attack . He was 54 years old and good technical hand .He was left behind a wife and two sons.


PB Parivar condoles the demise of Sh Babu T and prays to almighty for the peace of departed soul.

All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram has been hounoured with best Media Award for the radio coverage given to the International Children’s Film Festival of Kerala which was organized by Kerala State Council for Child Welfare and held at Thiruvananthapuram from 14th May to 20th May, 2018.
