Prabhudutta Pradhan, former Akashvani Instrumentalist & Music composer of the all time great Sambalpuri song “Rangabati” passes away
Prabhudutta Pradhan, the music composer of the all time great Sambalpuri song “Rangabati”, breathed his last in the wee hours today, 28.05.2018. He was 75. Prabhudutta breathed his last at 4 am this morning at his residence in Sambalpur Road, his family informed.
As early as at the age of three years Prabhudutta started learning music under the mentor-ship of his father. In the year 1969 he joined All India Radio - Akashvani (AIR) at Sambalpur station as an instrumentalist. But it was only in the year 1975 he got a breakthrough when he composed the music for Rangabati song.
The popular Sambalpuri song was written by Mitrabhanu Gauntia and composed by Prabhudatta Pradhan and originally sung by Jitendra_Haripal and Krishna_patel. It has been recreated in many Indian languages.

55th anniversary of AIR Sambalpur
The demand for radios still exists. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proved its importance in choosing the medium to reach out to the masses, speakers said while celebrating the 55th anniversary of the Sambalpur station of All India Radio here on Saturday night. ज़िन्दगी के हर कदम पर हमें परेशानियों का सामना करना पड़ता है, बिना परेशानी के ज़िन्दगी की कल्पना भी नहीं की जा सकती| लेकिन परेशानी छोटी हो या बड़ी इंसान को अपने हौसले बुलंद रखने होते है|
मनौवैज्ञानिकों के अनुसार अपनी कठिनाईयो को इंसान दो नज़रिये से देखता है –
या तो वो समस्या पर फोकस करता है या समस्या के हल पर

आठ वर्ष की उम्र में 11000 वाल्ट के तेज करंट के कारण उनका हाथ काट गया| लेकिन कमजोर न कहलाने की ज़िद ने उन्हें चैम्पियन बना दिया| उन्होंने 2004 पैराओलिंपिक और 2016 रियो पैरा ओलंपिक में Javelin Throw में गोल्ड मैडल जीत कर भारत का नाम रोशन किया| आज कोई वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड ऐसा नहीं, जो उनके नाम न हो|
45 वर्षीय दीपा मालिक, पैरा ओलंपिक में मेडल लाने वाली भारतीय इतिहास की प्रथम महिला है| वे रियो में Shotput प्रतियोगिता में सिल्वर मैडल की विजेता रही| 1999 में रीढ़ की हड्डी में ट्यूमर की वजह से व्हील चेयर उनकी जरुरत बन गई| लेकिन उन्होंने कभी हार नहीं मानी| उन्होंने 36 वर्ष की उम्र में तैराक, बाइकर और एथलीट बनने की ठानी| हिमालय की सड़कों पर हजारों किलोमीटर की बाइक यात्रा की और कई रिकॉर्ड बनाए| दीपा मलिक ने अपने जीवन की हर कठिनाई को अपनी ताकत बना लिया| Javelin Throws, Shot put और Swimming में उन्होंने विभिन्न नेशनल और इंटरनेशनल प्रतियोगिताओं में 60 अधिक मैडल जीते है|
22 वर्षीय सुयश जाधव तैराकी में फाइनल राउंड तक पहुचे| छह वर्ष की उम्र में बिजली के करंट के कारण उन्हें अपने दोनों हाथ गंवाने पड़े| लेकिन सालो के अभ्यास और लगन से उन्होंने अपनी कमज़ोरी को हरा दिया और 2016 पैरा ओलंपिक में A-Mark प्राप्त करने वाले पहले भारतीय तैराक बने|

अंकुर रियो पैरा ओलंपिक में जाने वाले प्रथम भारतीय नेत्रहीन एथलीट है| उतरप्रदेश के छोटे से गाँव में जन्में अंकुर की चार वर्ष की उम्र में ही उनकी आँखों की रौशनी कम होने लगी थी| पूरी तरह से आँखों की रौशनी चले जाने के बावज़ूद दिल्ली में उन्होंने अपनी शिक्षा पूरी की| उन्होंने पैरा-चैम्पियन प्रतियोगिताओं में देश के लिए कई मेडल जीते हैं|

सोनीपत, हरियाणा के नरेंद्र ने 3 वर्ष की उम्र में एक एक्सीडेंट में अपने माता-पिता को खो दिया और खेती करके उनकी दादी ने उन्हें पाला! 2010 में एशियाई गेम्स में वो रनर थे, लेकिन पीठ और पैर की समस्याओ के कारण, रियो पैरा-ओलंपिक में भाला-फेंक में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया|
26 वर्षीय रामपाल सोनीपत के पास छोटे से गांव से है| दुर्भाग्यवश 4 वर्ष की उम्र में ही उनका दांया हाथ खेती में काम ली जाने वाली मशीन से कट गया था, लेकिन उन्होंने कभी अपना जूनून नहीं छोड़ा| उन्होंने हाई-जम्प की कई नेशनल और इंटेरनेशनल प्रतियोगितायों में हिस्सा लिया| इंटरनेशनल टूर्नामेंट IPC grand pix जो Tunisia में हुआ, उसमें रामपाल ने गोल्ड जीतकर भारत को गौरवान्वित किया था| उन्होंने रियो पैरा-ओलिंपिक में हाई जम्प में Grade A के साथ भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया

31 वर्षीय अमित के पास पैरा एशियन गेम्स से 1 गोल्ड मैडल और 2 सिल्वर मैडल उनकी मुट्ठी में है! 22 वर्ष की उम्र में एक एक्सीडेंट की वजह से उनकी रीढ़ की हड्डी में चोट के कारण उन्हें व्हील चेयर का सहारा लेना पड़ा, लेकिन पूर्व जूनियर नेशनल हॉकी प्लेयर रहे अमित ने हिम्मत दिखाई और पैरा स्पोर्ट्स में discus एंड club थ्रो में भाग लेकर मैडल जीतना शुरू किया और वे अर्जुन अवार्ड के भी विनर बने| पैरा ओलंपिक्स में डिस्कस थ्रो में वे सांतवे स्थान पे रहे|

Prabhudutta Pradhan, Music Composer of famous "Rangabati" song is no more.
Sambalpuri folk music owes to this wonderful musician who elevated it to a great height through his composition, the all-time hit "Rangabati" song. This evergreen song was written by Sri Mitrabhanu Gountia, sung by Padmashree Dr.Jitendriya Haripal and Dr.Krishna Patel with beautiful composition of traditional folk instruments enthralls one and all. This numero uno Sambalpuri folk music composer was Shri Prabhudutta Pradhan, a 'dhol' (drum) player of Akashvani Sambalpur who passed away in the wee hour of 28th May, 2018. His mundane body was cremated today morning in the graveyard below the foothill of Budharaja hill, Sambalpur amidst a large gathering. Born in the year 1943 in the month of November, Prabhudutta Pradhan was the 5th child of Late Pravash Chandra Pradhan & Late Bibasini Pradhan. He was born in Sambalpur town. From his very childhood, he was having keen interest in music and he learnt it from his father. His regular guru was Padmashree Late Jadunath Supakar. He started his career as an instrumentalist in All India Radio, Sambalpur in the year 1969. He was a B High grade artist of Dhol, B grade artist of Mandal, Tabla & Mridinga.Mr. Pradhan had dedicated his life for the folk culture and folk music of this area. He had traveled hundreds of villages in the western part of Odisha to collected the tunes, rhythms and styles of folk and tribal music. In All India Radio, he composed most of the Sambalpuri popular music and could make Sambalpuri songs popular all over India and abroad. The brightest example is the song “Rangabati” which has got the international acclaim. He is a doyen in the field of composition of Sambalpuri songs and their arrangement. He was a wizard in making fusions of different folk tunes and tribal tunes to catch the heart of the people.Most of the Sambalpuri music of All India Radio were composed and arranged by Sri Pradhan. The serial “Lokdhara” is a bright example of the documentation of folk music of this area where Sri Pradhan had worked as a guide and as a music arranger. He had also contributed many folk operas in Sambalpuri dialect. Besides Sambalpuri folk music he was also renowned for the composition of Oriya music.His composed songs were recorded in INRECO, Gathani. HMV etc. for commercial release. Scholars doing research in Sambalpuri songs and folk music visited Sri Pradhan for guidance.Sri Pradhan had received Akashvani Annual Awards in 1994,1995,1996,1998,1999,2001 & 2002 for scoring music in Sambalpuri.After retirement he was devoting time in making new artists, new compositions as well as research on folk and tribal music.AIR, Sambalpur paid tribute to this pious soul through a condolence meeting held in the office at 11 AM yesterday. Shri. Sudam Shewale, Driver Gr.I is retiring on superannuation on 31st May, 2018. He born on 1st July, 1958 in Pune. He joined AIR Pune on 6th April 1984 as ordinary driver. He served department for more than 34 years. He will be always remembered as very humble and laconic person. From his childhood he had a great influence of Warkari sect. This devotion towards God made him honest and dedicated. His contribution in covering Pandharpur Wari for daily radio report, is always appreciated.
