Shri Sirivella Enakondaiah, Engineering Assistant, All India Radio, Vijayawada retires on 31.08.2017

Shri Sirivella Enakondaiah, Engineering Assistant, All India Radio, Vijayawada retires on superannuation on 31.08.2017. He  joined as Technician at All India Raido, Vijayawada on 12.10.1984. He was transferred to All India Radio, Bangalore on promotion as Senior Technician on 22.04.1988. He worked at AIR, Kothagudem, D.D.K, Vijayawada as Senior Technician. And again he promoted as Engineering Assistant on 22.04.1999 at LPTV, Bhimadolu. He served LPTV, Machilipatnam, DDK, Vijayawada and AIR, Vijayawada as Engineering Assistant. All India Radio, Vijayawada Staff members wishes Shri Enakondaiah a Healthy retired life.

Prasar Bharati Parivar wishes him a very happy, healthy, peaceful and contended retired life.

Shri Papanasam Kumar, Staff Artist, AIR Chennai Retires on 31/08/17.

Born into a family of musicians with rich lineage and steeped in pedigree music, Papanasam Kumar is the grandson of Sri Papanasarn Rajagopala Iyer, brother of Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Papanasam Sivan. A child prodigy, Papanasam Kumar started his career as a percussionist and singer, accompanying and singing with Sri Papanasam Sivan at the tender age of five for Namasankeerthanams.

An ‘A’ Grade Mridangam Staff Artist, All India Radio since 1993, Papanasam Kumar has been groomed under the tutelage of the legends "Laya Vadhya Kovida" Kumbakonam Sri Rajappa Iyer and "Sangeetha Kalanidhi" Umayalpuram K Sivaraman. He has won many accolades and titles including the Kanchi Kamakoti Peetarn - "Aasthaana Vidhwan", "Laya Vadhya Kovida", "Kalai Valar Mamani" by Tamil Nadu Cultural Association, "Laya Priyan" by Vaikathashtami Sabha, Madurai, and 'Laya 
Vidyadhara" given by Irai Pani Mandram Chennai.

He is a regular performer at various sabhas including Music Academy, Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha,Rasika Ranjani Sabha, Nadopasana Trust, SAFE, Kanchi Kamakoti Petam, Sri Ram Samaj (Ayodhya Mantapam),Mylapore Fine Arts Club, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha ,Sri Narada Gana Sabha, Indian Fine Arts Society, Hamsadwani, Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha, Karthik Fine Arts, and Sathguru Thyagaraja Aradhana Festival at Thiruvaiyaru since 1974. Papanasam Kumar has also accompanied leading musicians in major Sabhas in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kerala, Karnataka and many other places in Tamilnadu. He has also produced a number of CD's and Cassettes. Throughout his service career, he has been a very sincere, dedicated staff artist of All India Radio. 

All the Staff of AIR, Chennai and Prasar Bhararti Parivar wish Papanasam Kumar a very happy, peaceful and healthy retirement life.

Superannuation Function of Executive Engineer CCW, Jaipur, Shri Dinesh Mishra at AIR, Jodhpur

Shri Dinesh Kumar Mishra, Executive Engineer of CCW, Jaipur, superannuated today after a distinguished service of 42 years. Shri Mishra Joined State Government job as instructor in a Technical Education Department on 08th October 1975, and after working there he joined All India Radio on 12/02/1988. Mr.Mishra worked in CCW in different capacities at Faridabad, Kota, Gwalior and Jaipur. A farewell party was organised in his honour at All India Radio, Jodhpur.

Mr. Mishra has a happy family consisting of two sons and one daughter, all happily settled. May he have a happy and healthy retired life.

आपकी नियुक्ति आकाशवाणी गैंगटोक  के क्षेत्रीय समाचार एकांश में 12 मई सन 1989 ई. में नेपाली समाचार वाचक एवं अनुवादक के पद पर ग्रुप “बी” राजपत्रित अधिकारी के रूप में हुई थी। आपने अपने जीवन के 28 वर्ष 3 महीना और 19 दिन आधिकारिक रूप में एक सशक्त, प्रखर, धाराप्रवाह, आकर्षक एवं परिमार्जित भाषाशैली में नेपाली समाचार वाचक के कर्तव्यों के निर्वहन में अहम भुमिका निभाई है। अगर कहना ही पड़े तो कहेंगे कि आपकी सुरिली कोकिल कंठ से निकलती सरल भाषा में नेपाली समाचार सुन रहे नियमित श्रोता मंत्रमुग्ध नहीं हो जाता हों ऐसा नेपाली समाचार जगत में कोई विरल  ही होगा ।

वैसे तो आप सन 1978 ई. से ही समाचार वाचक के रूप में आकाशवाणी में प्रवेश की थीं किंतु सन 1982 ई. में आकाशवाणी गैंगटोक की स्थापना के बाद अस्थाई समाचार वाचिका के रूप में इस केन्द्र में कार्य करने लगी । आपकी बहुतसारी उपलब्धियाँ रही हैं। “ होनहार विरवान के होत चिकने पात” या यूँ कहें कि पूत के पाँव पालने में ही नजर आ जाते हैं वाली कहावत आपके ऊपर शतप्रतिशत चरितार्थ होती है। बाल्यावस्था से ही आपकी अभिरुचि नृत्य,अभिनय और नाटकों में थी। बाल कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से रेडियो में प्रवेश; साठ के दशक में वर्षभर चलने वाले आकाशवाणी खरसांग द्वारा पन्द्र्हवर्ष से कम उम्र के बच्चों के लिये आयोजित “ सुन्दरी प्रतियोगिता” में “मिस खरसांग” एवं नेपाली सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम में पार्श्व उद्घोषणा करनेवाली “ पहली सुत्रधार” हुईं। सिक्किम में वृतचित्र निर्माण करनेवाली पहली नेपाली महिला बनी। आपके निबन्ध एवं लेख हिमालय दर्पण, समय दैनिक, हिमाली वेला, स्वर्णभुमि जैसे पत्र-पत्रिकाओं में आज भी प्रकाशित हो रहे हैं । हिन्दी कवितायें एवं लेख आदि पूर्वोत्तर , क्षेत्रीय एवं राष्ट्रीय पत्र-पत्रिकाओं में प्रकाशित होते रहे हैं ।

सन 2014 ई. में “ ब्लैक एण्ड ह्वाईट” सिक्किम में आपकी पुस्तक “ संगीतभित्रकाहरु” प्रकाशित हुई। उसके बाद 6 जनवरी सन 2015 ई. में आपको हिमालचुली ग्रुप ऑफ टूरिज्म इन्ड्स्ट्रीज , सिक्किम द्वारा “प्रथम स्व. शोभा राई बरदेबा खोजी पत्रकारिता” पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। आपका नाम इण्डिया बूक ऑफ रिकॉर्ड्स में भी समाविष्ट हो चुका है। इस प्रकार आपने जो अनेकों उपलब्धियाँ हासिल की हैं उसे विस्तृत रूप में यहाँ इस छोटे से अभिनन्दन-पत्र में समावेश नहीं कर पा रहे हैं । श्रीमती निरौलाजी ! आप बहुमुखी प्रतीभा की धनी हैं । यह कहना अतियुक्ति नहीं होगी कि माँ सरस्वति का आपके ऊपर सदा से आशिर्वाद रहा है ।

इस बिदाई समारोह के आयोजन के इस क्षण में आपके प्रति श्रद्धाभाव,अगाध प्रेम और स्नेह अभिव्यक्त करने में हमारे लिए मर्माहत क्षण का आभास हो रहा है। कार्यालय से सम्बन्धित कार्य सम्पादन के समय जाने-अनजाने में हुई भूल या कोई अपशब्द से आपको आघात पहुँचा हो तो उसके लिए हम क्षमाप्रार्थी हैं। अंत में , आपका यह सेवा-निवृत जीवन हर पल सुख, शान्ति एवं सदानन्द में व्यतित होता रहे तथा भविष्य में आपके व्यक्तिगत एवं पारिवारिक जीवन सुस्वस्थ्य और दीर्घायु हो यही मंगलमय कामना करते हुए शुभकामना व्यक्त करते हैं।

Shri Murari Lal, UDC (Date of Birth 17.08.1957) of this station is retiring on 31.08.2017. He joined AIR, Varanasi in December, 1980 as a LDC. He has served approx. 37 years in AIR. He has also worked at AIR, Obra. He has given his great and precious contribution to AIR. He has worked in almost every section. Presently he is attached with programme wing. He has been fully devoted to his duties and maintained cordial relation with all wings. His contribution to AIR will always be remembered.

Kamal Sharma, one of the veteran senior announcer of Vividh Bharati, All India Radio, retired on superannuation today i.e. on 31.08.2017. After working at Akashvani Raipur, Indore and Ahmedabad, Kamal Sharma came to Vividh Bharati and won over thousands of listeners by his magical voice.

.... कुछ कहना हो और आपका कंठ अवरुद्ध हो जाए और शब्दों के देवता कूच कर जाएँ तो मान लीजिये आप कहीं भीतर दरक रहे हैं.. आज यही कैफियत रही दिल की.. मैं कमल शर्मा जी को आवाज़ की दुनिया का जादूगर कहूँ तो भी कम ही होगा..
आकाशवाणी इंदौर, अहमदाबाद के अपने कार्यकाल के दौरान कमल दा को सुनते हुए कई बार अपना काम रोका है मैंने, जब विविध भारती मुंबई में पोस्टिंग हुई और पहला कदम रखा तब भी रोमांचित थी उन्हें देखने के लिए..यूँ फोन पर बात हुई थी लेकिन उनसे मिलना और फिर लगभग ६ साल साथ साथ काम करना एक अद्भुत अनुभव रहा..
मेरा जन्म रायपुर का है और कमल दादा भी रायपुर के तो एक स्वाभाविक स्नेह तो था ही फिर उन्हें मैं राखी भी बांधती हूँ..हमेशा बड़े भाई सा स्नेह मिला उनसे..
कमल जी केवल अपनी आवाज़ से ही नहीं मोहते उनकी एडिटिंग और मिक्सिंग में भी वही मुलायमियत है जो मैंने उनसे सीखी..
कमल दा आज सेवा निवृत्त हो गए..एक बेमिसाल ब्रॉडकास्टर एक अद्भुत व्यक्तित्व कागज़ों पर हमसे बिदा हो गया..आपके साथ की कई रिकॉर्डिंग्स बहुत से प्रोडक्शंस हमारी धरोहर है दादा.. स्टूडियो नंबर ३ अब बहुत सूना लगेगा.. मैं उस गंभीर गहन आवाज़ को ढूँढूँगी..आपकी छोटी बहिन मनीषा आपको मिस करेगी..

आकाशवाणी महानिदेशालय के निर्देश पर दिनांक 23 अगस्त 2017 से दिनांक 30 अगस्त 2017 तक आकाशवाणी अल्मोड़ा केन्द्र से प्रसारित क्रेडिट लिंक सब्सिडी स्कीम के अन्तर्गत प्रधानमन्त्री आवास योजना के लिए एक सर्वे का आयोजन आकाशवाणी महानिदेशालय की टीम ने किया जिसके प्रभारी श्री मानिक लाल आचार्य श्रोता अनुसन्धान अधिकारी आकाशवाणी महानिदेशालय के साथ सहायक अनुसन्धान अधिकारी मोहन सिंह, और श्री अजीत कुमार महतो इन्वेस्टीगेटर रहें | यह कार्यक्रम दिनांक 23 अगस्त 2017 से दिनांक 30 अगस्त 2017 तक कार्यक्रम के अनुश्रवण के आधार पर आकाशवाणी अल्मोड़ा क्षेत्र में कुमाऊ विश्वविद्यालय के छात्र-छात्राओं के फ़ील्ड सर्वे के आधार पर हुआ उसके बाद कार्यक्रम का स्वयं अनुश्रवण टीम प्रभारी श्री मानिक लाल आचार्य श्रोता अनुसन्धान अधिकारी आकाशवाणी महानिदेशालय के साथ अभियान्त्रिकी प्रमुख श्री जगदीश सिंह खाती ,सहायक अभियंता आकाशवाणी अल्मोड़ा ने क्वारब ,कोसी ,खत्याड़ी, एन टी डी ,और स्यालीधार क्षेत्रों में साथ- साथ किया | श्रोता अनुसन्धान प्रभारी श्री आचार्य ने यहाँ के प्रसारण पर प्रसन्नता व्यक्त की ,और आशा की कि शीघ्र ही यहाँ एफएम सेवा आरम्भ हो जायगी | इस कार्य के लिए आकाशवाणी अल्मोड़ा से विशेष सहयोग श्री संजय जोशी कार्यक्रम अधिशाषी ने दिया ,केन्द्राध्यक्ष ड़ा करुणा शंकर दुबे की देखरेख में सम्पूर्ण कार्य सकुशल सम्पन्न हुआ |

A three day Workshop on “Personality Development & Computer Awareness” for MTS conducted by RABM(P), Thiruvananthapuram

The three-day workshop on "Personality Development & Computer Awareness" which started on Tuesday 29th August 2017 at RABM(P), Thiruvananthapuram, concluded today ie 31st August 2017 (Thursday). The Workshop was inaugurated by Shri. Radhakrishnan.S, ADP, RABM(P) who was the Course Coordinator. He emphasized the need of computer knowledge in the present day scenario where whole office work is digitalized to the full. Smt.Lekha Gopal, PEX welcomed the participants.

16 Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) belonging to various All India Radio Stations and Doordarshan Kendras in Puducherry, Tamil Nadu and Kerala participated in the Workshop. Visiting Faculties dealt with in detail the topics - Micro Soft Word, Micro Soft Excel, Internet & Email, Knowing the self , Positive Attitude & Team Work, Stress Management & Personal Effectiveness. All the participants created their own mail ID and course material and photos were mailed to them. A Watsapp group was also created by the participants and they promised to keep themselves in contact with each other and to improve upon the knowledge they gained during the three days. The participants had “Onasadhya” (Grand feast(lunch) in connection with Onam) today afternoon which was a part of the Onam celebration of All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram.

ONAM CELEBRATION AT A I R THRISSUR

Onam is the biggest and the most important festival of the state of Kerala. It is a harvest festival and is celebrated with joy and enthusiasm all over the state by people of all communities. According to a popular legend, the festival is celebrated to welcome King Mahabali, whose spirit is said to visit Kerala at the time of Onam.Onam is celebrated in the beginning of the month of Chingam, the first month of Malayalam Calendar (Kollavarsham). This corresponds with the month of August-September according to Gregorian Calendar.

Carnival of Onam lasts from four to ten days. First day, Atham and tenth day, Thiruonam are most important of all. Popularity and presentation of rich culture of the state during the carnival made Onam the National Festival of Kerala in 1961. Elaborate feasts, folk songs, elegant dances, energetic games, elephants, boats and flowers all are a part of the dynamic festival called Onam.Government of India has taken due notice of this vibrant and colorful festival. It promotes Onam internationally in a big way and celebrates 'Tourist Week' for Kerala during Onam celebrations. Thousands of domestic and foreign tourists visit Kerala to be a part of Onam.

The most impressive part of Onam celebration is the grand feast called Onasadya, prepared on Thiruonam. It is a nine course meal consisting of 11 to 13 essential dishes. Onasadya is served on banana leaves and people sit on a mat laid on the floor to have the meal.This year Thiruvonam is celebrating on 4th September.Recreation club of AIR Thrissur celebrated Onam in advance on 31st August. Famous lyricist Sri Rafeek Ahemad was chief guest.There was a procession on theme religious harmony.club president Sri Pradeep C Kumar(DDE) secretary Sri A E Vamanan Namboothiri and tresurer Sri T O Wilson were the leaders.

Interesting memories of Kamal Sharma, who retired as Announcer Vividh Bharati

Shri. Kamal Sharma, Sr.Announcer of Vividh Bhararti retired on 31st August 2017,after 34 years of service. The most popular golden voice will not be on air live henceforth. He joined AIR Raipur in 1983. In 1992 , he was transferred to Vividh Bharati, Mumbai. His Voice, presentation and creativity made the programmes like Hello Farmaish, Bharatiy Nakshatra ke Sitare, Ujale Unke yaadonke , Jaimala Gold very popular. He was a great presenter, editor and devoted broadcaster.

Here is an incident describing his popularity . We, with Kamal Sharma, were in Tanot, a last populated Indian village across India-Pakistan border, near Jaisalmer, chitchatting along roadside near Tanot-Devi Temple. One local person was carefully listening our discussion. As we turned to leave the place, he immediately came to Kamal Sharma,” Kamal Sharmaji , Namaste.” We all got surprised. He told that he was listening us and recognized the voice of Kamalji . He was Kamal’s fan listning since his childhood and not only he, almost everybody in that bordered village was Kamalji’s fan. We had the same experience in Kuldhara. Not only the common public, but even the celebrities like Sulakshana and Vijeyata pandit, Jatin, Lalit, Pyarelal and his family are the Kamal Sharma’s diehard fans and they themselves admitted when they visited the VBS studio.

Shri. Kamal Sharma is a great human being, too. He is animal lover. He saved many injured animals in the premises of Vividh Bharati by calling Pet ambulances, Doctors , making expenses from his pocket. The Vividh Bharati listeners will ever remember this great broadcaster, true friend and a great human being. We all wish him healthy, happy retired life.

दूरदर्शन केंद्र अहमदाबाद द्वारा आज हिंदी पखवाडा का शुभारंभ किया गया इस अवसर पर एक कार्यशाला का भी आयोजन किया गया । जिसका विषय था 'राजभाषा नीति एवं कार्यालयीन कार्य प्रणाली'जिसमें मुख्य अतिथि के रुप में वक्ता थे प्रोफेसर डॉ. रामगोपाल सिंह जिन्होंने इस अवसर पर अपने महत्वपूर्ण विचार व्यक्त किए ,इस अवसर पर कार्यालय अध्यक्ष श्री कमलेंद्र सरभाई द्वारा कार्यक्रम के उद्देश्य पर प्रकाश डाला गया, कार्यक्रम अध्यक्ष डॉ. रुपा मेहता ने राजभाषा के रूप में हिंदी के महत्व को बताया ,निदेशक समाचार श्री धर्मेंद्र तिवारी ने हिंदी के सामने आने वाली बाधाओं के बारे में प्रकाश डाला, उप-निदेशक (अभि.) पी.टी.अप्पुकुट्टन ने सबका आभार ब्यक्त किया ,कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ.ए.के पांडेय सहायक निदेशक कार्यक्रम एवं प्रभारी राजभाषा ने किया इस समारोह में केंद्र के अधिक से अधिक अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों ने भाग लिया

Smt. K. Sudha, Tanpura Artist, All India Radio, Mysuru is being felicitated on the occasion of her retirement from service on 31.08.2017.
Smt. K. Sudha, Tanpura Artist, hails from a family of Musicians in which Three Top Grade Vocalists, Two A Grade Vocalists and a B High Mridangam artists are performing. She joined All India Radio, New Delhi as Tanpura Artist and in the year 1995 she had been transferred to AIR, Mysuru. Known for cool and calm nature, she has put in almost 27 years of service in All India Radio as Tanpura Artist. Apart from Tanpura playing, she has involved herself in transferring of music archival tapes and disks into hard disk and CDs and has got well admiration by AIR, Mysuru.

Shri P.Nageswara Rao, Deputy Director(Audience Research) of this station is retired on attaining the age of superannuation on 31.08.2017. His date of birth is 05.08.1957. Shri Nageswara Rao hails from remote village of Malakpalli of Tallapudi Mandal, West Godavairi district of Andhra Pradesh. He completed his Post graduation in Economics from Andhra University and completed B.Ed. also. 

He started his career as Investigator in the National Sample Survey Organization(FOD) and served for 6 years. On 13.07.1992 he was selected as Audience Research Officer in our department and joined at AIR, Imphal and he also served at AIR, Bhopal. He served more than 25 years of service in All India Radio and retired as Deputy Director(AR) at AIR, Visakhapatnam. He has conducted many audience research surveys in various places. He used to submit the compiled reports as per specific requirement of the Directorate containing the data for improvement of radio programmes - in terms of reach, popularity and marketing.

Shri Nageswara Rao is a nice gentle man and maintains very good relations with one and all irrespective of cadre. He is very sincere,faithful, dedicated & hardworking Officer. All India Radio, Visakhapatnam is wishing ' A VERY HAPPY & PROSPEROUS RETIRED LIFE' to Shri P.Nageswara Rao.

Prasar Bharati Parivar wishes him a very happy, healthy, peaceful and contended retired life.

Smt. Dellakutty Thomas, H.C., retired on 31st of August, 2017 from AIR-Thiruvananthapuram after putting in around 33 Years and 08 Months of meritorious service.She started her long journey in the year 1983, when she joined as L.D.C. at Central Soil and Material Research Station, Delhi under the Ministry of Energy. She served the organization for around One and a Half years and later on joined Doordarshan Kendra, Thiruvananthapuram in the year 1985. She had a long stint in DDK, Thiruvananthapuram. She got promoted as U.D.C. in the year 1993 and was posted in DDK, Thiruvananthapuram itself. Later on, in the year 2015 she was promoted as Head Clerk and was posted at D.M.C. Thrissur. She got transferred to AIR, Thiruvananthapuram and joined this station in September, 2016. The finest quality of Dellakutty Madam is her dedication to work and her simplicity. Her approach towards work is exemplary in nature. The finest example of her dedication was showcased once again, when she was in forefront of getting various things arranged for the impending visit of Standing Committee of Parliaments to Thiruvananthapuram on 25th and 26th August, 2017. The optimism in her makes things easier for all those who work with her.The Staff Members of Administrative & Accounts section gave her a warm send off on 28.08.2017 in Office Hall. We all the staff members of AIR Thiruvananthapuram extend our warm wishes to her for a long, peaceful and healthy retired life.

आकाशवाणी जमशेदपुर के सहायक निदेशक, दास जी को दी विदाई

आकाशवाणी जमशेदपुर के सहायक निदेशक सह कार्यक्रम प्रमुख श्री अंजन कुमार दास जी बुधवार को सेवानिवृत्त हो गए। उन्हें कार्यक्रम, इंजीनियरिंग एवं लिपिक वर्ग द्वारा विदाई दी गई।

उन्होंने 29 वर्ष तक प्रसारण के क्षेत्र में काम किया। 24 जून 1988 को कार्यक्रम अधिशासी के रूप में आकाशवाणी मुम्बई में पदभार ग्रहण किया, जिसके बाद कर्शियांग, रांची, जमशेदपुर तथा चाईबासा में कार्य किया।

संगीत में उनकी विशेष रुचि रही, जो उन्हें विरासत में मिली थी। मुम्बई में पदस्थापना के दौरान देश के चोटी के कलाकारों के साथ मधुर संबंध बना, जिनमें आशा भोंसले, उस्ताद जाकिर हुसैन, उस्ताद गुलाम मुस्तफा खान, भूपेंद्र सिंह, सुरेश वाडेकर, प्रख्यात बांसुरी वादक हरि प्रसाद चौरसिया, पंडित शिव शर्मा, परवीन सुल्ताना, चंदन दास आदि शामिल हैं।

रचना : क़िस्सा , लखनऊ की ऐतिहासिक घुंघरु वाली रात का !

यह तो सभी जानते हैं कि अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर कथक नृत्य शैली को नई पहचान लखनऊ से मिली थी।यहीं गुरु कालिका बिन्दादीन महाराज ने कथक नृत्य को नई ऊंचाई प्रदान की थी और अपने तीनों बेटों अच्छन महाराज,शंभू महाराज और लच्छू महाराज को एक प्राचीन और सिद्ध मंदिर में घुंघरु देकर गुरु मंत्र दिया था । वह मंदिर है शिव के पांचवे अवतार माने जाने वाले बटुक भैरव नाथ जी का ।इस 3 सितम्बर रविवार को लखनऊ के संगीत और नृत्य प्रेमियों की बहु- प्रतीक्षित घुँघरु वाली रात आ रही है और इस रात एक बार फ़िर होगा संगीत साधकों का जमघट और होगी विशेष आराधना ,पूजा पाठ और गुरु-शिष्य दीक्षा का कार्यक्रम । सुरों के महाराज बटुक भैरव का मंदिर एक बार फिर गवाह बनेगा उन एतिहासिक क्षणों की स्मृतियों को जीवंत करने का ।

लखनऊ शहर के व्यस्ततम क्षेत्र अमीनाबाद के गुइन रोड पर बटुक भैरवनाथ का सैकड़ों वर्ष पुराना मंदिर है। माना जाता है कि बटुक भैरवनाथ जी सुरों के राजा हैं, इसलिए यहाँ माँगी जाने वाली मन्नतें भी कला, संगीत और उसकी साधना से जुड़ी होती है। मान्यता है कि यहीं लखनऊ कथक घराने के धुरंधरों ने अपने पैरों में घुँघरू बाँध कथक शिक्षा का ककहरा सीखा था ।इस प्रकार एक मायने में गीत,संगीत और नृत्य का यह गहन और सिद्ध साधना स्थल है। । भगवान शिव के पांचवे अवतार भैरव जी की कलियुग में पूजा-अर्चना अत्यन्त फलदायी मानी गयी है। जिस तरह शिव-पूजा के लिए सावन माह को विशिष्ट माना जाता है, ठीक उसी तरह भाद्रपद माह को भैरव-पूजा के लिए उत्तम माना गया है। भक्‍त यहां पर प्रसाद के रूप में मदिरा चढ़ाते हैं।आगामी रविवार (अर्थात 3 सितम्बर 2017 ) को घुँघरू वाली रात है, इसी दिन बटुक भैरवनाथ से आशीर्वाद लेकर नई पीढ़ी के संगीत साधक अपनी साधना प्रारम्भ करेंगे । इसी रात कथक के लखनऊ घराने के वर्तमान उस्तादों के हाथों अपने शागिर्द के पैरों में घुँघरु बांधे जायेंगे और उन घुंघरुओं की लयबद्ध खनक और संगीत की मधुर तान एक बार फ़िर वहाँ बिखरे इतिहास के सुनहरे पृष्ठ खोलते नज़र आयेंगे ।मंदिर में विराजमान बटुक भैरवनाथ जी महाराज को सोमरस प्रिय है, इसलिए अनेक भक्तजन तदनुकूल प्रसाद चढ़ाकर भैरवनाथ बाबा को प्रसन्न करते हैं। संगमरमरी आभायुक्त मंदिर परिसर और उसके आसपास इसी दिन से हफ्तों तक मेले जैसा माहौल होता है।आसपास के ज़िलों से भी लोग आया करते हैं ।आकाशवाणी दूरदर्शन से जुड़े इतिहासकार डा. योगेश प्रवीन ने ब्लाग लेखक को बताया कि इस बटुक भैरवनाथ मंदिर का इतिहास लगभग 200 वर्ष पुराना है। यहाँ भैरवजी अपने बाल रूप में विराजमान हैं। बटुक भैरव को लक्ष्मणपुर का रक्षपाल भी कहा जाता है। दोष, दु:ख, दुष्टों के दमन के लिए बटुक भैरव की उपासना की जाती है। उनका कहना है कि बटुक भैरव की यह मूर्ति 1000-1100 वर्ष पुरानी है। गोमती नदी तब मंदिर के करीब से बहती थी। यहाँ पास ही श्‍मशान भी था। इस मंदिर का जीर्णोद्धार बलरामपुर इस्टेट के महाराजा ने कराया था। जनपद इलाहाबाद की हण्डिया तहसील से एक मिश्रा परिवार यहाँ आया और उसी परिवार ने कथक की बेल रोपी थी । कथक घराने के कालका-बिंदादीन की ड्योढ़ी के बस ठीक पीछे ही है यह मंदिर । यहीं पर कथक गुरु लच्छू महाराज की प्रथम शिष्या यश भारती पुरस्कृत कुमकुम आदर्श ने भी शिष्यता ग्रहण की थी।

सचमुच,कथक नृत्य के लखनऊ घराने पर हमें नाज़ है।
