आल इण्डिया रेडियो की शुरुआत दिनांक 08.06.1936 को हुई थी । पच्चीस वर्ष पूरे होने पर यह 15 नये पैसे की डाक टिकट 08.06.1961 को जारी की गई थी । रेडियो व ट्रांजिस्टर पर कार्यक्रम सुनने के लिए लायसेंस लेना आवश्यक था ।
