Revenue Strategy Division of Prasar Bharati organised a historic felicitation function on 20.06.2016 at CSOI, New Delhi to recognize and applaud the outstanding contribution of AIR and DDn officers in earning valuable commercial revenues for Prasar Bharati. The event was graced by Shri Jawhar Sircar, Chief Executive Officer, PB, Shri S.C. Panda, M(P), Shri F. Sheheryar, DG, AIR, Smt. Aparna Vaishy, DG, DD, Shri Amitabh Shukla, ADG(Commercial) and other Sr. officers of the department.
Sometimes back Revenue Strategy Division of PB working under the guidance and supervision of M(P) as well as CEO, had decided to recognise and reward outstanding performers in the field of commercial revenues earnings. Thus, it was decided to compile a list of all commercial entities / stations working in the field of revenue earnings in AIR and DD jurisdiction and who have exceeded their assigned targets of earning commercial revenues for the organisation. In the case of AIR stations and DDKs, efforts were made to primarily identify those performers who have exceeded their targets by their own efforts and hard works, exploiting local resources. Accordingly, based upon inputs received from commercial authorities in Doordarshan and AIR a list was prepared comprising 42 AIR stations, 10 CBS centres, 1 CSU Mumbai & CRD Delhi. In the case of Doordarshan, 11 DDKs & 8 CRDs were short listed.
In his welcome address Shri Amitabh Shukla, ADG(C) said - Recognising and rewarding unique talent and contribution of an individual is an important responsibility of any organisation and Prasar Bharati is no exception to this activity. The reward and recognition activity not only encourages and motivates the chosen subjects towards further higher achievements but also acts as a positive catalyst for others to emulate and contribute to self as well as organisational goals. He further said that the outstanding performers present in this auditorium today deserve commendations as they have accounted for nearly 40% of total commercial revenue earnings for Prasar Bharati.
This was indeed a historic function, first of it's kind which will definitely increase the morale of the field level officers and motivate them further to give their best for the organisation.
