Workshop on “Duties & Responsibilities of Programme Heads”conducted by RABM(P), Thiruvananthapuram at AIR, Bangalore. A Workshop organized by the “Regional Academy of Broadcasting and Multimedia Thiruvananthapuram” on the topic “Duties & Responsibilities of Programme Heads” which commenced on 19.06.2018 (Tuesday) at AIR, Bangalore came to a befitting finale on 21.06.2018(Thursday). Fifteen officials from various offices of Prasar Bharati participated in this Programme. The Workshop was inaugurated by Shri. Rajkumar Upadhyayah ADG (SR-II) Bangalore. In his inaugural address, ADG stressed the need for earning revenue by the efficient management of content generation. He expressed that Prasar Bharati while performing the role of Public Broadcaster should be live in the Social Media Platforms too. We should post all the requisite information regarding our programmes on Twitter, Face book etc: and be prepared for interaction with the listeners and viewers. But we have to refrain ourselves from “Live streaming” as it would hamper our own claims for the rights of the content.Shri.A.Hanumanthu DDG(E) AIR Bangalore, Shri.G.K.Raveendra Kumar AD(P) AIR Bangalore, Shri.Venkateswaralu Former DG AIR and Shri.Chalapathi Rao Former DDG were present during the inaugural session.

Smt.Lekha Gopal PEX RABM(P) welcomed the gathering. The participants introduced themselves and each one of them shared one positive aspect each of the great National Broadcaster, the “Prasar Bharati”.In addition to the eminent personalities mentioned above, Shri.N.G.Srinivasa, Former ADG(AIR&DD), Dr.Basavaraj Sadar, Former SD, AIR, Bangalore etc: engaged the participants and interacted with them during the sessions that followed. It has to be specially stated that the cooperation that we got from AIR Bangalore was excellent.Topics like “Programme Head as Head of Office, Updating Commercial Rules & Regulations, New Horizons in Programming for Revenue Generation, , E-Governance, Inter Personal Relations, Leadership Qualities, Time Management, Stress Management, Practical knowhow about FPC/APAR/Enquiries/Court Cases, Interpretation of Staff Welfare Rules” etc. were dealt with in this course. Lectures, Practical exercises, Interactive sessions and Group discussions enriched the resources provided by RABM (P), Thiruvananthapuram during the course of the Workshop.
