The constitution was adopted by the Indian Constituent Assembly on 26 November, 1949 and came into effect on 26 January 1950 with a democratic Government system.Completing the Country's transition towards becoming an independent republic. 26th January was chosen as the Republic day. 
All India Radio, Bengaluru celebrated 69th Republic day with great enthusiasm. The entire Office was decorated with flowers and balloons with tricolor theme for this occasion. A. Hanumanthu, DDG(Eng) and Head of Office hoisted the flag and said we are all working hard, honestly in this organisation. Technology are changing daily, we must accept it with new enthusiasm. He said, it was great honor for our organisation, as for the first time the Akashvani "Mann ki baath" tableau was displayed in the Republic day parade. Indian sticker was distributed to all staff members during this occasion.All the Programme staff, Engineering Staff, Marketing wing, Administration staff, ARU unit, News Unit, CCW are witnessed this great moment. After the flag hosting, Vishwanath Nakod sung patriotic song. Sweet was distributed to all the staff members on this occasion.
