Master N. Soorya is initiating into the world of Music by his first Violin performance at Narada Gana Sabha Mini Hall, 314, TTK Road, Alwarpet, Chennai on 01.10.2017 Sunday 06:00 PM. Master N. Soorya is the son of Shri. S. Neelacantan, Announcer Gr.I , All India Radio, Chennai.
N. Soorya is the disciple of Violin Mastero “Kalaimamani” Dr. M. Narmadha for the last 12 years. Soorya is a talented personality. Apart from his interest in music, he is an avid reader and has published interesting short stories and poems in prominent E magazines. His blog addresses are www.sooryan.wordpress.com& www.saioorya.wordpress.com. He is presently pursuing Law in The School of Excellence in Law, Chennai.
His Guru Dr. M. Narmadha is a leading violin solo artist, well versed in Carnatic, Hindustani Classical Music. She is career gold medalist, top grade artist with a Doctorate from the Delhi University. She is the third generation artiste in the Parur MSG Tradition. Her music foundation SANCARA, is training several students in violin perpetuating and propagating the PARUR MSG BANI, besides vocal and musicology.
The Chief Guest of the above programme is Shri. V. V. Sundaram, Co Founder, Secretary, Cleveland Thyagaraja Aradhana Committee. Besides the Chief Guest, Padmashree Dr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chetti will be the Guest of Hounour and Shri. V. Kalyanam, Freedom Fighter and Former Personal Secretary to Mahatma Gandhi is the special invitee.
N. Soorya will be accompanied by Neyveli K. V. Ramkumar, `A’ grade artist in Mridangam and Shri. H. Prasanna, Ghatam `B’ High Graded artist of All India Radio.
