AIR Tirupati is organizing event on occasion of 'Indian Broadcasting Day' .

Nine decades ago, radio broadcasting began in a systematic manner. On July 23, 1927, the Indian Broadcasting Company hosted radio broadcasts in Bombay. Celebrating this occasion July 23rd is celebrated as 'Indian Broadcasting Day' .

On January 1, 1936, the Indian State Broadcasting Service began broadcasting from Delhi. On June 8 of the same year, the service name became 'All India Radio'. Later, it became known as 'Akasavani'. In this long journey, the broadcasting in our country has been expanded by four different centers in the country. Currently, 420 broadcasting stations in 146 dialects ​​are broadcast in 23 languages.

Information, entertainment, knowledge stoic, news, speeches, contacts, plays, Movie songs and Karnatic music programs are being broadcast from our Akasavani.The history of this radio is glorious! There is social study !! There is futuristic vision in radio !!!All India Radio, Tirupati is celebrating the 90th Indian Day of the Radio Broadcasting in the august presence of the radio listeners and audience. The event is organized in collaboration with the Archaeological Survey of India in the premises of the Chandragiri Fort on this Saturday i.e. July 22.All our dear listeners are cordially invited to participate in this event, which is held from 10 am. You can briefly explain how you have benefited from the radio programs. Please Keep in mind. This Saturday morning at 10 am on the premises of Chandragiri Fort.
