It has been slightly tough time for Shri Ravindra Ranjekar, AE (Co) while planning the duties of the employees for coverage of wari. The Akashvani teams have to literally walk for over 200 kms along with lakhs of warkaris (One who performs the wari) continuously for 15 days. It’s a very tough job but for the past two years, ever since the Akashvani Rath have started moving in the wari, Akashvani Pune staff has willingly come forward and offered their services.
Ashadi wari 2017 created another milestone for Akashvani Pune as four of its women engineers offered by their own to be the part of the OB coverage team travelling along with the Akashvani Rath. Seema Valunjkar, SEA, Jyoti Ranjekar, SEA, Sushma Suradkar, EA, Ujjwala Bhave, Sr. Tech, thus added a new leaf in the achievement book of Akashvani Pune by displaying their courage and dedication. Nevertheless, the real credit for this pink revolution goes to Tejashree Kamble, the young energetic PEX, who one month ago had requested that she be included in the wari team, which triggered the other women colleagues to follow her, but as the Almighty Lord had designed, Tejashree fell sick, still hospitalised, recovering fast but was unable to lead the all women Akashvani wari team. May be this is destined for the next year for her.
Shri Ashish Bhatnagar, DDG(E), Head Akashvani Pune gives the credit of these success to each and every employee of Akashvani Pune who work cohesively as a true family. He remembers that Shri F. Sheharyar, DG, AIR had boosted the moral of Akashvani Pune team, when he flagged off the Akashvani Rath and interacted with the staff informally. May Lord bless Akashvani Pune Parivar.
