Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold his 30th Mann Ki Baat programme on radio on March 26. Since coming to power prime minister had been addressing to the people of the country through this programme from October 3, 2014. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gave a shout out to the IAS officer Param Iyer for emptying a toilet pit in a bid to support the ‘Swach Bharat’ Abhiyan, during his 29th episode of Mann ki Baat on Sunday afternoon.In his last address to the nation through the programme, while Narendra Modi appreciated all the government, society and organisations to actively support the initiative, a special mention was given to top bureaucrat Param Iyer who set an excellent example for others by cleaning a toilet to spread a message on hygiene at Gangadevipalli, Warangal. Param Iyer is currently serving as the Secretary Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation in the Government of India and shared the pictures of cleaning the toilet on his twitter handle on 18th February.
He had also appreciated Doordarshan for broadcasting a special programme of ‘Swachchhta Samachar’ inspired by his Swach Bharat Abhiyan. He said, “Government, society, institutions, organisations, in fact, everyone, is making some or the other effort towards Swachhta,” he said.While PM Modi’s 28th episode focused on students and the pressure of board examinations, this time he talked about a variety of topics ranging from women empowerment to digital economy, with a special emphasis on ISRO’s historic moment of sending 104 satellites in space. He praised the Indian scientists for the huge achievement and said that this move will help Indians a lot, especially the farmers. “After the successful mission of sending Mangalyaan to Mars, recently ISRO achieved a world record in the arena of space.
“India created history by becoming the first country to launch successfully 104 satellites into space at one go. Particularly, for my farmer brothers and sisters, our new Satellite Cartosat 2D will be immensely helpful. It is a proud moment that this team was led by youngsters and women,” PM Modi added.
