Sauraj and Samir are heading out for one of their most epic adventures yet. After all, they are on their way to Everest. And along the way, they are also helping Indian soldiers who have been injured in war. Sauraj Jhingan and Samir Nicholas Patham are mountaineers who run their own company called Adventure Pulse. The duo are now self-funding their way to the highest peak in the world in an expedition aptly called Mission Everest-2017 – Soldiering On. They are helping a Pune-based NGO, Queen Mary’s Technical Institute (QMTI) for Differently Abled Soldiers.

He says, “The idea is to generate as much publicity as possible through our Everest mission. We will begin our expedition on March 25 and wrap it up by June 1. We will carry banners and placards of the Pune NGO, urging people to support the institute that works for the welfare of disabled soldiers.”

And the friends, as a show of respect to the country’s soldiers, will be unfurling the Indian flag when they summit the 8,848 metre peak.
