Dr.BAALA RAMANI, HEAD OF PROGRAMMES of DDK, CHENNAI is retiring on 31st January 2017. He first joined EXTERNAL SERVICES DIVISION ALL INDIA RADIO,NEW DELHI on 25-09-1982 and served there till 09-06-1988. Then he joined DOORDARSHAN KENDRA, CHENNAI as a Programme Executive. He worked in various kendras between 1998 and 2003. He came back again at CHENNAI in 2003. Here he got his long standing promotion due , as a ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (PROG) in 2012.
He is good orator, writer and poet. He has produced many excellent programmes and some them got awards too. For his oratorical skills on Ramayanam, Govt of Tamilnadu bestowed him Kambar Virudhu.
