AIR, Sambalpur got the wonderful opportunity to organise Akashvani Sanget Sammelan-2016, the prestigious music festivals of India under the auspices of DG, AIR in the evening of 24th September, 2016 at Dr.Radhanath Rath Community Centre, Sambalpur. Top grade artists of national and international repute enthralled the packed house of distinguished audience in the evening embellished with Ghazal, Manipuri folk geet and Adhunik Bengali songs. Shri Ashwani Kumar Verma with accompanists Bijay Kumar Samantray, Inder Singh and Chittaranjan Mohapatra performed Ghazals, Irungbam Padmavati with her companions L.Arendra Singh and Y.Manithomba Maitei rendered Manipuri folk song and Disha Paul accompanied by Tapas Kumar Guha Thakurata, Amit Mohapatra, Narendra Kumar Naik and Subodh Kumar Maharana energised and enchanted the audience with Adhunik Bengali songs. In the beginning Shri Laxman Kumar Panda, HOP and Shri Sheshadev Tajan, Director(Engg.) inaugurated the programme with lighting of lamp. Shri Santosh Ping, Programme Executive(Music) offered vote of thanks to the artists as well as the audience.
