Shri Bisvanath Mandal, Diesel Technician, All India Radio, Darbhanga had expired on 21.10.2014, five years back. Shri Madal was just 54 years old at that time. He is survived by his wife, two sons and two daughters.

At PB parivar, we feel that our family bonding shall remain alive even after unfortunate demise of our colleagues and we shall try to stand with the families of our such friends and shall try to provide help and strength to them. We call upon all PB parivar members and volunteers to keep working in this direction and make us a true Family...

Centre to launch two new radio stations in J&K, Ladakh post administrative bifurcation.

The Centre will launch two new radio stations in the Union territories of Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh in the first week of November, shortly after the administrative bifurcation kicks in at month end.

The two new radio stations, government sources told TOI, will be set up in Uri, in the Kashmir valley bordering Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), and in Himbotingla, Ladakh, at a distance of about 60km from Kargil. Both locations have been chosen for their strategic significance and are a part of the government’s outreach to local population in both UTs, especially in the aftermath of the bifurcation.

Himbotingla, located at a height of over 13,000 feet, will be All India Radio’s highest FM station. Both installations, which are now ready for launch, have been fitted with high power transmitters and allow for modulation of frequencies.

To ensure that bad weather does not come in the way of the government’s airwave management, the pubcaster has also increased its footprint in newer parts of the hill regions, with FM installations installed in Patnitop, Naushera, Udhampur, Riasi, Poonch and Bhaderwah, in addition to the public broadcaster’s existing setup in Jammu and Srinagar.

आकाशवाणी उदयपुर ने आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन 2019 के अन्तर्गत शास्रीय संगीत सभा को आयोजित किया

आकाशवाणी महानिदेशालय, नई दिल्ली और आकाशवाणी उदयपुर के सयुंक्त तत्वावधान मे शनिवार को आरसीए सभागार में आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन 2019 के अन्तर्गत शास्रीय संगीत सभा हुई। कायर्क्रम का आगाज डॉ प्रमोद गायकवाड़ एवं साथी कलाकारो द्वारा प्रथम प्रस्तुति राग यमन में शहनाई वादन से हुआ। दूसरी प्रस्तुति काकोली मुखर्जी के शास्रीय गायन के रूप में रही। उनके साथ तबले पर संजित मुखर्जी, सांरगी पर अल्लाह खान तथा हारमोनियम पर श्रीकांत पिसे ने संगत दी। इस अवसर पर आकाशवाणी के अपर महानिदेशक (संगीत) डॉ राजशेखर व्यास, केन्द्राध्यक्ष आई ऐ काजी, कार्यक्रम प्रमुख लक्ष्मण व्यास, कार्यक्रम अधिकारी विनोद शर्मा एवं समस्त वरिष्ठ अभियांत्रिकी स्टाफ मौजूद रहा।

Fit PB Parivar : योग के महासाधक श्री जी.सी. रॉय, सहायक अभियंता (AE)*

आकाशवाणी गोरखपुर के सहायक अभियंता (AE) श्री जी.सी. रॉय योग के महासाधक हैं। अपने जीवन के 53 बसंत देख चुके श्री रॉय विगत कई सालों से नियमित रूप से योग करते हैं। बीते जीवन मे कुछ स्वास्थ्य सम्बन्धी दिक्कतों के कारण श्री जी. सी. रॉय योग करने की ओर स्वस्फूर्त रूप से आकर्षित हुए और आज सभी प्रकार की योग क्रियाओं में पारंगत हैं। बहुत कम बोलने वाले श्री जी.सी. रॉय, हर वर्ष "योग दिवस"पर अपनी तथा अपने पूरे परिवार की विभिन्न योग मुद्राओं की तस्वीरें फेसबुक आदि जैसे सोशल मीडिया के माध्यमों से शेयर करते हैं तथा ऐसा करके अत्यंत खामोशी से दूसरों को भी योग करने की ओर प्रेरित करते हैं। 

योग एक आध्यात्मिक प्रक्रिया है जिसमें शरीर, मन और आत्मा को एक साथ लाने का कार्य किया जाता है। इसके प्रयोग से व्यक्ति का तनाव तो दूर होता ही है, साथ ही, मन और मस्तिष्क को भी शांति मिलती है तथा हमारा तन निरोगी बनता है।

आकाशवाणी की सेवा के व्यस्त शेड्यूल और उसमे भी सहायक अभियंता जैसे जिम्मेदार पद पर रहते हुए नियमित रूप से स्वयं योग कर दूसरों को योग के लिए, बिना शब्दों के, सिर्फ अपने कृत्य द्वारा प्रेरित करना एक असाधारण बात है और ऐसे में उन्हें "योग का महासाधक"कहना अतिश्योक्ति नही होगी।

AIR Pune organised Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan 2019.

It was an honour for AIR Pune to be selected for organising Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan 2019. On 19th October at 5:30 p.m. at Shakuntala Jagannath Shetty Auditorium, Erandwane, Pune it was arranged. The programme started with felicitation ceremony. All artists were felicitated by Shri. Ashish Bhatnagar [DDG(E) & Head of Office], Shri. Gopal Autee [Deputy Director (P) & Head of Prog. Section] and other higher officers from Prog. and Engg. sections. 

The concert started with vocal performance from Shirin Sengupta. First she rendered Raga 'Shudh Kalyan' followed by Raga 'Nayki Kanada' and concluded the performance with Raga 'Basant'. She was accompanied by Biplob Bhattacharya on Tabla, Chaitanya Kunte on Harmonium, Madhura Navare and Sucheta Chandolkar on Tanpura. The audience enjoyed the majesty of Hindustani classical music by her performance. 

Shirin Sengupta has established herself as a prominent classical vocalist. With the initial musical training from her parents Shri. R.M.Nath and Smt. Sunanda Nath, she got 'Taaleem' from Pandit A. T. Kanan, Pandit Arun Bhaduri and Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar. 

Now it was time for Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt [ Guitar ( Mohanveena)] and Vidwan S. Shashank's [Flute] Jugalbandi to take to a different level. The performance began with Raga 'Dharmavati' followed by Raga 'Hansdhwani'. Fans of classical music were left in awe. The performance was concluded with Bhajan 'Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye'. They were accompanied by Himanshu Mahant on Tabla and Vidwan Patri Satish Kumar on Mridangam. 

Pt. Bhatt is a Hindustani classical music instrumentalist who plays the Mohan veena. He has been honoured with Grammy Award, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award, Padma Shri in 2002 & Padma Bhushan in 2017.

Vid. S. Shashank is a Grammy-nominated renowned exponent of the Bamboo Flute from India and specialises in Indian Classical Music. He is the youngest recipient of the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi's senior award by Govt. of India bestowed by the Hon. President of India for the year 2017 at an investiture ceremony held at Rashtrapathi Bhavan in New Delhi. He was trained in Carnatic Music by his father and by vocalists R.K. Srikantan, Palghat K.V. Narayanaswami, and Hindustani music under Pandit Jasraj. He had no Gurus for Flute playing and was self taught.

This concert was a feast for classical music lovers from Pune. The performances mesmerized the audience.

Shri Sharad Date, Sr. Technician, DMC Nasik had expired on 21st October 2017, two years back. He was 51 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by wife, son and daughter.

Prasar Bharati Parivar volunteer had talked to Nilesh Sharad Date, son of Lt. Shri Date and conveyed our rememberance to the whole family. Nilesh after completing his education is now working in HDFC bank providing home loans. Nilesh got married in Dec. 2018.  Ankita Sharad Date, daughter of Lt. Shri Date is also working in IT company. Their mom and wife of Lt. Shri Date, Madhavi Date is a house wife and presently in good health. The whole family is presently staying in Pune in a rental house as both the children are working at Pune.

While talking to Prasar Bharati Parivar volunteer, Nilesh specially want to convey that they all miss their father and was pleased to praise the staff of DMC Nasik who keenly helped him and his family clear all dues of his father. He told that his father always used to talk about AIR and DD to the family and as such he is familiar with AIR & DD. His whole family is proud to be a member of AIR family and if given a chance he too would like to be a part of this family - says Nilesh. He also collected the details of PB parivar blog and its id and said that he will also go through the blog specially this particular post.

भारतीय संगीत की महान परंपरा का गौरवशाली मंच- आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्‍मेलन

जब चारों तरफ संगीत के नाम पर बहुधा शोर परोसा जा रहा हो और आयोजनों में तथा रेडियो-चैनलों पर ज्यादातर फिल्म-संगीत पर ही ज़ोर हो--ऐसे माहौल में 'आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन'का महत्व और भी बढ़ जाता है।

आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन कोई आज से नहीं शुरू हुआ है। इसकी शुरूआत सन 1954 में हुई थी। देश के तमाम लब्धप्रतिष्ठ कलाकार आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन में अपनी प्रस्‍तुतियां दे चुके हैं। महत्‍वपूर्ण बात ये है कि इस संगीत सम्‍मेलन में देश के जाने माने एवं युवा कलाकार हिंदुस्‍तानी संगीत, कर्नाटक संगीत, सुगम संगीत और लोक-संगीत की अपनी प्रस्‍तुतियां देते हैं।

एम एस सुब्‍बलक्ष्‍मी, पंडित डी वी पलुस्‍कर, उस्‍ताद बड़े गुलाम अली खां, उस्‍ताद अमीर खां, उस्‍ताद अली अकबर खां, पंडित कुमार गंधर्व, डॉ मल्लिकार्जुन मंसूर, लालगुड़ी जयरमन जैसे कलाकारों की एक लंबी सूची है जिन्‍होंने आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्‍मेलन में प्रस्‍तुतियां दी हैं।

भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीत की समृद्ध परंपरा को आकाशवाणी ने सदा संजोया और संभाला है और यकीन रखिए कि यह सिलसिला जारी रहने वाला है। 2019 के आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन में 19 अक्टूबर को देश के 24 शहरों में शास्त्रीय, लोक और सुगम संगीत के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए गए।

Shri M.Muthurama Lingam. Sr Tech. Office of ADG(SZ), Chennai had expired on 21-10-2018, one year back. He was 52 years old at that time.

Prasar Bharati Parivar volunteer had talked to Karuniya Lingam, younger daughter of Lt. Shri M.M. Lingam and conveyed our rememberance to the whole family. Karuniya is pursuing her final year in Psychology at Chennai. She is an international athlete and would like to choose athletics as her career in future. The elder daughter of Lt. Shri Lingam, Kartika after completing her M.Tech is doing her Ph.D in medicine. His wife is working as a teacher at Maharishi Vidyamandir, Chennai.

Aakashwani Sangeetsammelan 2019 concert hosted by AIR Thiruvananthpuram at Levee hall ,Thiruvananthpuram on 19/10/2019 at 6 PM

This capital city of Kerala has been under grip of heavy down pour for the past week, which is usual for the season. However on Saturday last, it was virtually a downpour of divine music, which enthralled the packed house of music aficionados in Thiruvananthapuram, for nearly 3 bhours. The venue was Levee Hall near the SreePadmanabhaswamy Temple. Set up in a serene background, this hall, a part of the Padmavilasom palace complex, itself has a touch of classicism, where the Maharajas of erstwhile princely state of Travancore had promoted art and culture.

AIR Thiruvananthapuram hosted 3 concerts as part of this prestigious annual event. The first concert was a vocal recital by Vidwan Dr.K.Vageesh, with Vidwan Sooryadeepthy–Violin, Sri.M.V.Chandrasekhar – Mrudangam and Sri.M.R.Manjunatha – Ghatom,providing support. This was followed by a Layavinyasam on Mrudangam by Vidwan Vijay B.Natesan supported by Vidwan Trichy K.Murali on Ghatom and Sri.Thiruvizha Viju S.Anand providing Violin refrain. The third was Vidwan Guruvilli Appanna and party presenting a Nagaswaram recital, supported by Sri.R.Atchchanna on Nagaswaram and Vidwan Guruvilli Durga Rao providing special Tavil support. It was a real treat with the seasoned artists like Dr.Vegeesh and Guruvilli Appanna, the flag bearers of sampradaya delighting the connoisseur and a vibrant young Vijay Natesan bringing to lime light the abundance of his talent on the percussion. It was both the senior and younger generation together bringing out the richness of Indian music. In fact the raining skies could not dampen the spirit of the full house, which included eminent artists like Smt.S.Rugmini, Sri. Cherthala A.K.Ramachandran, Sri.Uduppi Sreedhar, Dr.B.Arundhathy, Sri.Uduppi Balakrishnan and those from the younger generation like Sri.P.Padmesh, A.Mahadevan, Uduppi Sreekanth and S.Sreejith. Besides we had Mr.Rajesh Gopalkrishnan, coming all the way from Nasik in Maharashtra, for the sheer delight that Akashvani Sangeeth Sammelan provides to the music lovers, with its variety and classicsm.

आकाशवाणी  के चेन्नई केंद्र में आयोजित आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन 2019 में मुख्य अतिथि कर्नाटक संगीत की गायिका सुधा रघुनाथन  ने कहा कि भारत के शास्त्रीय संगीत और संगीत कलाकारों को लोकप्रिय बनाने में आकाशवाणी का योगदान महत्वपूर्ण रहा है।

चेन्नई. आकाशवाणी के चेन्नई केंद्र में आयोजित आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन 2019 में मुख्य अतिथि कर्नाटक संगीत की गायिका सुधा रघुनाथन ने कहा कि भारत के शास्त्रीय संगीत और संगीत कलाकारों को लोकप्रिय बनाने में आकाशवाणी का योगदान महत्वपूर्ण रहा है। उन्होंने स्वयं के अनुभवों का स्मरण करते हुए बताया कि वे जब युववाणी में कार्यक्रम के लिए आया करती थीं तब उन्होंने अनुशासन के जो पाठ सीखे वे उनको आज भी उपयोगी लग रहे हैं। रघुनाथन को उप.महानिदेशक टी. राजेंद्रन ने पुष्प गुच्छ से सम्मानित किया तथा केंद्र निदेशक वी. चक्रवर्ती ने स्मृतिचिन्ह प्रदान किया।

दी बेहतरीन प्रस्तुति

आयोजन में हिंदुस्तानी संगीत के अंतर्गत जालंधर से आए प्रोफेसर डॉक्टर हरविंदर कुमार शर्मा ने सितार वादन प्रस्तुत किया। तबले पर संगत की कोलकता से आए रूपक भट्टाचार्जी ने। कर्नाटक संगीत के अंतर्गत बेंगलूरु से आई टी. एस. रमा ने अपना गायन प्रस्तुत किया। संगत करने वाले कलाकार थे वायलीन पर बी. रघुराम, मृदंगम पर बी. आर. श्रीनिवास, कंजिरा पर बी.आर. लता तथा घट पर दयानंद मोहिते। संचालन तमिल उद्घोषिका, वी. एन. सौंदरनायगि हिंदी उद्घोषक उदय मेघाणी तथा अंग्रेज़ी उद्घोषिका दुर्गा शर्मा ने किया।

Akashvani Puducherry hosted two concerts of Sangeet Sammelan-2019 on 19.10.2019. Veena Venu Violin Trio will be broadcast on 4.12.2019 at 10 PM. Vocal concert of P. Dhanya will be on air at 10 PM on 11.12.2019. Both these programmes will be broadcast in the national network.

लोकगीत, सुगम संगीत और गजलों पर झूमे श्रोता ।

संबलपुर आकाशवाणी केंद्र की ओर से जिला प्रेक्षालय - तपस्विनी में शनिवार की शाम आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन- 2019 का आयोजन किया गया ।
क्षेत्रीय आकाशवाणी केंद्र की ओर से जिला प्रेक्षालय, तपस्विनी में शनिवार की शाम आकाशवाणी संगीत सम्मेलन- 2019 का आयोजन किया गया। इसमें में देश भर से आए कलाकारों ने लोकगीत, सुगम संगीत और गजल प्रस्तुत कर श्रोताओं को मुग्ध कर दिया।

आकाशवाणी केंद्र की ओर से बताया गया कि देश के 24 शहरों में इस तरह का आयोजन किया गया। प्रसार भारती की ओर से आकाशवाणी संबलपुर केंद्र समेत श्रीनगर और कोयंबटूर केंद्र को लोक और लघु संगीत से संबंधित कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत करने का जिम्मा सौंपा गया था। इसी के बाद इस संगीत सम्मेलन का आयोजन किया गया। इस सम्मेलन में हैदराबाद से आए पूर्वा गुरु शर्मा के साथ उस्ताद नजमुद्दीन जावेद ने तबला, सलीम इलाहाबादी ने हारमोनियम और मोहम्मद अली खान ने बेहेला के साथ गजल पेश किया। मुंबई के शैलेश श्रीवास्तव के साथ कालीनाथ मिश्र, मिलिद शेवड़े और सोमदत्त डांगी ने लोकगीत प्रस्तुत किया, जबकि नई दिल्ली की विधि शर्मा के साथ गौरव राजपूत, अमित महापात्र, आर निरंजन, सुबोध महाराणा, सुभाषचंद्र भोई ने सुगम संगीत प्रस्तुत कर श्रोताओं की खूब तालियां बटोरी। केंद्र के मुख्य प्रफुल्ल माझी और यांत्रिकी विभाग के मुख्य मोहन कृष्ण दास ने इस सम्मेलन का शुभारंभ किया जबकि दाशरथी बेहरा और पद्माक्षी बेहरा ने कार्यक्रम का संचालन किया।

All India Radio, Imphal organised Akashvani Sangeet sammelan 2019 at MSFDS auditorium, palace compound Imphal, on this occasion Kumari Mangka Mayanglambam and party Manipuri folk song, Shri Jyoti Sankar and Deb Sankar Violin western classical duet and Shri Alobo Naga and party western Music was performed.Shri F.Sheheryar DG AIR grace the occasion. Seven top grade artistes and eminent personalities were felicitated by DG.DG was overwhelmed by the performance of young lady folk artists Mangka,he promised her to upgrade to A grade, Sankar brothers violin was also mind blowing,DG was so pleased to the performance of young western Music artist Alobo Naga,he asked him to dance and sing along with audience .He praised the arrangement and hospitality of the staffs of AIR Imphal.

Shri Y. K. Singh, Dy. Director General(E), Doordarshan Directorate had expired on this day i.e. 23-10-2018, one year back. He was 56 at that time.

Shri YK Singh was considered as one of the most dynamic officer of Doordarshan. He successfully handled the post of DDG(HQ), Doordarshan Directorate for many years. He also contributed significantly at HPT Doordarshan Boondi, Doordarshan Kendra Srinagar, O/o ADG(E), (NZ), AIR & DD, N. Delhi where he was posted earlier. Shri YK Singh was one of the early IBES officers, who was picked up for the post of Dy. Director General(Administration) at Prasar Bharati Secretariat and was known to be his bold and straight forward approach. Shri YK Singh was Hon. Secretary of Broadcast Engineering Society(India) during last council and had also worked as council member of the society earlier.

Shri YK Singh has left behind him his wife, one son and one daughter,

Ityadi Foundation ,Jabalpur ,M .P., India presented solo exhibition of Abstract Photography of Shri LD Mandloi, former Director General, All India Radio.

The life of any individual has many dimensions, however many people in middle age, particularly the government servants tend to develop monotony in their lives. During such occasions the other dimensions of our life, other than the routine office work brings in a breeze of freshness and happiness. This makes the individual recharged and increase his/her efficiency even in their office work. 

Many of us occasionally or routinely perform such activities like - Taking the kids of the colony to picnic, Donating something to needy, Sharing quality time at orpahanage/old age homes, Teaching the poor children, following your passion etc which gives us contentment. Through this blog series – “Zara Hat Ke”, we wish to share such activities which can inspire our other Prasar Bharati Parivar members and help them derive the pleasure  by undertaking some of such activities. Mrs.Anagha Morye, UDC, Vividh Bharati Borivali won the 1st prize in Carrom Singles

DDK Mumbai recreation club has conducted inter office annual sports tournaments at DDK Mumbai on 12th and 13th October 2019. Mrs.Anagha Morye, UDC, Vividh Bharati Sewa Akashwani Borivali won the 1st prize in Carrom Singles. It's a proud moment for entire office. All staff members of Vividh Bharati Sewa congratulate Anagha for her grand victory and wishes her all success too. This office also appreciate the efforts taken by staff of DDK Mumbai to organize such a sports activity which helped all staff members to interact with each other. We also congratulate Sh. Thomas sir, ADG (P) for motivating and whole heartedly supporting to conduct such activities.

Health camp at AIR Bangalore

District Ayush Department conducted one day health check up camp at All India Radio, Bangalore.  Smt. Neha Swami, DDG(E) and HOO inagurated the function and said health is wealth and all the staff members should check their health regularly with frequent intervals.  This will be helpful to their future. Health is more valuable for a person than the money because money cannot buy a good health and happiness if some one is suffering from disease. 
Ayurveda is a pristine science of bringing your body, mind and soul in harmony that was born in India.  Since ancient days, we have relied on natural products like herbal pastes and powders for our health and beauty needs.  Although the value of these herbs went un-noticed for some time, today people have realized their value and they are once again in demand.  Ayurveda medicines does not have any side effect and its safe to human body.  Ayurveda is nature friendly. Hence all can use/consume Ayurveda medicine without any fear said Dr. Mohammed Rafi Hallem, District Ayush Officer, Bangalore Division(Rural/Urban) in his Presidential addrss.  
Smt. Vijayalaxmi sung prayer song. Dr. N. Raghu,AD(P)/HOP,  Dr. D. Padmavathi, AD(P),  S. P. Methre,  Director(E), Dr. Shanthala, Medical Officer, Dr. Hallema, Medical Officer were present on the dais.

Navaneetha Krishnan, Deputy Director (E) Doordarshan Tirunelveli had Dr APJ Abdul kalam's 88th Birth Anniversary Celebration at Government High School, Karaiyur, Rameswaram, on 15.10.2019.. Sharing sweets with the children of the Govt. school probably gave him great satisfaction, peace and happiness. The children on the other hand also enjoyed. For them it was something special other than their routine days.
