Cultural academy pays rich tributes to music maestro Nasrulla Khan. Former Secretary Academy & ADG ,DD Dr. Rafeeq was the chief guest.

JAMMU AND KASHMIR ACADEMY OF ART CULTURAL AND LANGUSGES (JKAACL) paid huge musical tributes to the music maestro of Kashmir late NASRULLA KHAN today in association with Govt Girls HSS Kothibagh auditorium where former ADG Doordarshan and secretary Academy Dr.Rafeeq Masoodi was the chief guest and Mtr.Nusrat Bukhari principal of this prestigious institution was the Guest of Honor. 
Rahmatulla Khan son of the legend hosted the musical presentation and widely acclaimed anchor Rashid Nizami anchored the musical feast. Songs composed by the legend were sung by young and up coming singers which was applauded by the jam packed audience in the hall.
Dr.Masoodi in his tributes to the legend recollected some of the extra ordinary moments of him in Radio kashmir and congratulated a ekademy for having arranged this programme and praised the efforts of Muhsmmad Ashsrf Tak and Dr.Gulzar. He praised Rahmatulla Khan for taking forward the legacy of his father and legend Khan sahib..he rememberd to the audience the super super compositions and background score of film HABBA KHATOON which he had composed.
Mtr.Nusrat Bukhari in her speech said that it was an honor for the institution to be host of this tributary musical feast in the memory of the legend Nasrulla Khan sahib. Ashraf Tak in his speech assured audience that a  academy will continue to remember the legends in future too.

Sudhakar Singh, Engineering Assistant, Akashvani Dibrugarh bereaved

After battling with 4th stage cancer since 17 January 2019, father of Shri Sudhakar Singh, Engineering Assistant, Akashvani Dibrugarh lost his fight and left for heavenly abode on 26 July. Shri Sudhakar Singh is an active PB parivar Blog member, a regular blog visitor and contributor.

We stand with Sudhakar during these testing times and pray to the almighty for giving strength to him and family members to bear the loss. May the departed soul rest in peace.

Shri. G.B.Kalo, Administrative Officer, AIR, Sambalpur, retires on 31-07-2019

Shri Gagan Bihari Kalo joined in AIR, Sambalpur as CG-II (LDC) on 13th August, 1979 when he was hardly 20 years of age. He got his first promotion to the post of CG-I (UDC) on 9th February, 1987. The second promotion came to him on 3rd August, 2009 and elevated to the post of Accountant/Assistant and ultimately he became the Administrative Officer on 5th September, 2017. In his long career span of four decades he has served in different stations of All India Radio, Civil Construction Wing, Doordarshan Maintenance Centre & Doordarshan Kendras. He has left his footprint in stations like CCW, Bhubaneswar & Cuttack, DMC, Jeypore, DDK, Sambalpur and ultimately retiring from his much coveted station i.e., AIR, Sambalpur where he had started his career. A sober and soft spoken person with an impeccable integrity, Sri Kalo will be remembered for his sincerity, perseverance and devotion to duty.

Prasar bharati Parivar wish him a peaceful, healthy and contended retired life.

A WARM FAREWELL TO SHRI.D.K.SUDAME, Dy. DIRECTOR (E): Shri Devidas Krisnarao Sudame, Dy Director (Engineering) is retiring on superannuation on 31.07.2019. Shri Sudame has joined in the Deptt. at All India Radio Raipur in 1983 as Engineering Assistant. He served at AIR, Gwalior and Shivpuri and performed operation, repair and maintenance duties as Studio, TR,RC. He was promoted to post of Assistant Engineer in 1994 and joined in AIR,Chindwara.In the year, 2003, he was transferred to AIR, Pune.In the year 2005, he was promoted as ADE and posted at independent station, AIR ,Poonch (J&K)as Head of Office and Engineering Head. From 2006 to 2011 again, he worked at AIR, Pune and looked after the work of Studio, FM TR and 100 KW Transmitter. During 2012 to 2014, he worked under ADG’s Office NEZ, Guwahati. Two projects 20 KW DRM at Guwahati and Tawang were commissioned under his guidance as Installation Officer. He looked after the maintenance activities of NEZ and EPM related work of Zone.

From 2014 to 2017 again, he was posted to AIR Pune and carried out the work of installation of 100 KW DRM TR with installation team and thereafter maintenance. He was promoted as Dy. Director (E) and posted at AIR, Panaji(Goa) on w.e.f. 8.6.2017. During his 36 years of active service in the department of All India Radio, he has contributed sincerely many a valuable services to the organization. He will be remembered for his amiable behavior & leading role in socio-cultural activities. The officer has given 36 years of his prime life to the organization and his contributions has helped AIR organisation stand as proud public broadcaster of the country. 

Prasar bharati parivar and all staff of AIR Panaji thank him for his services to the organization and wish him a very happy, healthy &peaceful retired life.

Ashish Kulkarni who is son of Mrs Medha Kulkarni,UDC AIR Pune has successfully completed MS from new Jersey,US. Management information systems was his specialization subject. He has done engineering degree from PVPIT college of Pune.
Now he is working with Remedy Partners company at New York.

Joined as a Production Assistant on 03.09.2004 at DDK, Bhubaneswar, Smt. Smita Das has served Doordarshan Kendra, Bhubaneswar for nearly 15 years. During this period she has produced a number of programmes including Aradhana - a spiritual based programme & Women Empowerment programmes like Aajira Nari, Swayam Siddha, Ama Rosei etc. which have become not only popular among women viewers but also helped in getting more eye balls resulting in more impression of DD-Odia channel . She was a team member of Docu-drama " Asha " that received Best Entry Award in the Doordarshan National Award-2008 in Documentary category and programme "Mo Ghara " based on Gandhian Philosophy & Public Service Broadcasting received Doordarshan National Award-2009. She is a soft spoken , dedicated, hard working and disciplined employee of the organisation. 

All the Staff of DDK, Bhubaneswar wish Smt. Smita Das a very peaceful and healthy retirement life.

Obituary - Former I & B Minister Shri. Jaipal Reddy passes away at 77

Former union minister S Jaipal Reddy passed away in the early hours on Sunday at a private hospital due to pneumonia, in Hyderabad. He was 77. 

In 1991 Prasar Bharati act was passed and in 1997 Prasar Bharati Corporation was formed by then I & B Minister Shri. Jaipal Reddy.

Sudini Jaipal Reddy (16 January 1942 – 28 July 2019) was an Indian politician who was the member of the Lok Sabha of India for five terms. He represented the Chevella constituency of Telangana and was a member of the Indian National Congress. He served as a Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting in IK Gujral cabinet in 1998.  In 2004 he was re-elected to 14th Lok Sabha from Miryalaguda Lok Sabha Constituency and then he served as a Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Union Minister for Urban Development. In 2009 he was re-elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from the Chevella constituency and served as a Union Minister for Urban Development and Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas. He was the Union Minister for the Ministry of Earth Sciences and the Ministry of Science and Technology from 29 October 2012 to 18 May 2014.

Reddy was born in Nermatta, a village in Chandur Mandal in Nalgonda District in Telangana State but is actually from Maadgula, Mahbubnagar district in Telangana. He had been polio-stricken since he was 18-months old and uses crutches to walk. He had  M.A. from the Osmania University, Hyderabad. He had been an agriculturist. He married Lakshmi on 7 May 1960. The couple have two sons and one daughter.

Reddy was a student leader during his college life and in 1970s he joined the Indian National Congress. He became an MLA of Kalwakurthy in Andhra Pradesh. Reddy was an MLA of Kalwakurthy between 1969 and 1984, a constituency in Andhra Pradesh for four terms. He quit his membership of the Congress Party to protest against the emergency and joined the Janata Party in 1977.  He was the general secretary of the Janata Party from 1985 to 1988. He was elected to the 8th Lok Sabha in 1984 from Mehbubnagar. He joined back the Congress Party in 1999 and was elected to the 14th in 2004 from Miryalaguda constituency and the 15th in 2009 from Chavella. He was also a member of the Rajya Sabha on two occasions, 1990–1996 and 1997–1998.

He also held the position of leader of opposition in the Rajya Sabha for a year from June 1991 to June 1992.He served as the minister for Information and Broadcasting in the government on two occasions: in 1997–1998 under I. K. Gujral and from 2004 under Manmohan Singh with additional responsibility for Culture. He acted as the spokesman for several parties of which he has been a member and was awarded the Outstanding Parliamentarian Award in 1998. He was the first from South India and the youngest parliamentarian to achieve this award.

He was listening the programme 'Mann Ki Baat' with people.He said that Man ki Baat has become a household name because it comes from the heart and touches everybody. He also said that PM Modi has highlighted various important issues in his program including water conservation.

रेडियो कश्मीर जम्मू केन्द्र के पूर्व वरिष्ठ समाचार वाचक डोगरी भाषा के साहित्यकार व समाज सेवक श्री जोगिन्दर छत्रपाल जी का निधन हो गया, वे 70 वर्ष के थे । 10 फरवरी 1949 को जन्मे स्वर्गीय श्री छत्रपाल जी को साहित्य के क्षेत्र में अनकों पुरस्कार मिले हैं । 

जकीन नेईं होआ दा। डोगरी साहित्य च उंदी कमी गी पूरा नेईं कीता जाईं सकदा।

Joint ZPCC meeting of Bihar and Jharkhand

Joint ZPCC meeting of AIR stations of Bihar and Jharkhand was held on 25-26 July 2019 at Daltonganj (Jharkhand). For the first time ADG (SMD), PB,New Delhi Shri Ashok Gupta attended it. In his presence, intensive discussion on challenges in achieving revenue target was analysed station wise and way out to increase revenue generation was discussed. In addition to this, issues related to programme coordination and exchange of programmes among AIR stations of Bihar and Jharkhand was also discussed. Some glimpses:

मीजल्स रूबैल्ला राष्ट्रीय कार्यशाला में आकाशवाणी संवाददाता सम्मानित

उदयपुर. बच्चों में मीजल्स रूबैल्ला के टीकाकरण कैंपियन वर्कशॉप फॉर रेडियो जनरलिस्ट कार्यशाला में आकाशवाणी उदयपुर के संवाददाता के समूह को एट द स्पॉट जनजागृति एक्ट में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त हुआ है. इसके अलावा इस एक दिवसीय कार्यशाला में भाग लेने वाले सभी प्रतिभागियों को रेडियो के माध्यम से बच्चों के लिए आवश्यक टीकाकरण मीजल्स रूबेला अभियान में जन जागृति फैलाने के लिए प्रेरित किया गया.

बच्चों के लिए कार्यरत यूनिसेफ वर्ल्ड हेल्थ ऑर्गेनाइजेशन लायंस क्लब नेशनल हेल्थ मिशन एवं गेट योर चाइल्ड के साझा प्रयासों से जयपुर के पांच सितारा होटल होलीडे इन में आयोजित इस कार्यशाला में देश के प्रसार भारती से जुड़े आकाशवाणी विविध भारती एवं एफएम रेडियो के साथ निजी सेक्टर के रेडियो बिग एफएम रेडियो मिर्ची रेड रेडियो सहित विभिन्न एफएम स्टेशनों में कार्यरत ख्यातनाम रेडियो जॉकी ने भाग लिया. उद्घाटन सत्र में यूनिसेफ राजस्थान के स्वास्थ्य विशेषज्ञ डॉ अनिल अग्रवाल ने बच्चों में टीकाकरण की आवश्यकता के बारे में बताया उन्होंने बताया कि 9 माह से लेकर 15 वर्ष तक के बच्चे व बच्चियों में मिसेस रूबेला का टीकाकरण अत्यावश्यक है जिसको लगाए जाने को लेकर राजस्थान सहित संपूर्ण देश में विशेष अभियान चलाया जा रहा है.

राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के एडिशनल डायरेक्टर शंकर लाल कुमावत ने अपने उद्बोधन में राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन द्वारा बच्चों के टीकाकरण के लिए किए जा रहे प्रयासों पर प्रकाश डाला उन्होंने कहा कि जन जागृति के बिना जैसे देश से पोलियो मुक्त नहीं हो सकता था उसी प्रकार इस मिशन में भी प्रति भारतीय की जागरूकता ही बच्चों को खसरा के रोग से बचा सकती है उन्होंने आंगनवाड़ी स्वास्थ्य केंद्र व विद्यालयों में निशुल्क लगाए जा रहे टीकाकरण में प्रत्येक बच्चे व बच्चियों को भाग लेकर टीकाकरण कराने व टिका कार्ड बनाने का आह्वान किया.

राजस्थान सरकार के हेल्थ विशेषज्ञ डॉ एसके गर्ग ने मीजल्स रूबेला अभियान को लेकर बनाई गई रणनीति पर प्रकाश डाला. वहीं यूनिसेफ न्यू दिल्ली से आई मिस सोनिया सरकार ने विभिन्न राज्यों में चल रहे इस रूबेला टीकाकरण अभियान को लेकर केस स्टडी सांझा की. यूनिसेफ की सामुदायिक सहभागिता विशेषज्ञ मिस स्टीफन रीज़न ने आम आदमी व अभिभावक व रेडियो जनरलिस्ट से इस अभियान को लेकर सोशल मीडिया रेडियो पर और दूरदर्शन के माध्यम से अधिक से अधिक जन जागरूकता फैलाने पर अपनी रणनीति की. स्टीफन का कहना था कि रेडियो एफएम ही एक ऐसा माध्यम है जो घर घर में ग्रास रूट गांव गांव ढाणी ढाणी तक सुना जाता है जिससे बच्चों को टीकाकरण के लिए अभिभावकों को प्रेरित किया जा सके.
जन जागरूकता को लेकर एक्ट हुआ

कार्यशाला में भाग लेने वाले देशभर के रेडियो प्रतिभागियों को विभिन्न ने चार ग्रुपों में बात कर अलग-अलग थीम दी गई इस टीम के अनुसार चारों ग्रुपों ने अपने-अपने एक्ट तैयार किए तथा उनका प्रदर्शन किया. एक्ट में आकाशवाणी उदयपुर संवाददाता हरीश पालीवाल रेड रेडियो दिल्ली के आरजे रॉकी के ग्रुप ने प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया वहीं चित्तौड़ के प्रतिभागी जयप्रकाश दशोरा एवं Mumbai के रेडियो जॉकी के समूह ने द्वितीय स्थान प्राप्त किया. प्रतिभागियों को आयोजन मंडल की ओर से प्रमाण पत्र व प्रतीक चिन्ह देकर सम्मानित किया गया.

Sh. Prakash Wairat (MTS) of AIR:SATARA is retiring on 31/07/2019. He joined department on 20/11/1986 at then CE (W/Z) Mumbai office, where he worked with various senior officers. He was transferred to AIR Satara in the same capacity after 4 years. 

Sh. Wairat is sincere, dedicated and hardworking fellow. He worked with Full devotion for department.

Shri Biswabasu Das, Deputy Director of Audience Research, All India Radio, Raipur (C.G.) Retires from Government Service on superannuation on 31st July, 2019.

He joined as Audience Research Officer at All India Radio, Agartala(Tripura) on 09th November, 1992. Shri Das served at All India Radio, Cuttack and All India Radio, Raipur during his dedicated Service Career of 27 years. He was promoted to the post of Deputy Director Audience Research in November, 2004. Before joining All India Radio he was posted in National Sample Survey Organization (FOD), Ministry of Planning, Government of India, Cuttack and Bhavanipatna Orissa from August, 1986 to October, 1992. 

The commitment, dedication, simple and positive approach in dealing & ever-smiling face have been long inspiration for us. AIR Raipur   extends heartiest congratulations and grateful appreciation for his dedicated service rendered towards betterment of the organization.

Prasar Bharati Parivar wish him good health, happiness and continued success in retired life.

श्री सुरेश कुमार साहू उच्च श्रेणी लिपिक की नियुक्ति अनुकम्पा आधार पर आकाशवाणी रायपुर में टेबुलेटर क्लर्क के रूप में दिनांक 01 मार्च 1994 को हुई । वे अधिवार्षिता की आयु पूरा करने के बाद 31 जुलाई 2026 को सेवानिवृत्त हुए होते किन्तु स्वास्थ्य ठीक नहीं होने के कारण उन्होंने स्वैच्छिक सेवा निवृत्ति ले लिए । अपने सेवा के लगभग 25 वर्षों के दौरान वे आकाशवाणी रायपुर में ही पदस्थ रहें । अभी- अभी यानि 10 मई 2019 को उच्च श्रेणी लिपिक के पद पर पदोन्नति हुई ।

श्री सुरेश कुमार साहू अपने कार्य के प्रति हमेशा प्रतिबद्ध और समर्पित रहे । व्यवहार में सरल सकारात्मक दृष्टिकोण तथा हमेशा मुस्कुराता हुआ चेहरा हमारे लिए लम्बे समय तक प्रेरणादायी रहेगा ।
