आकाशवाणी रोहतक केन्द्र आज 8 मई को अपना स्थापना दिवस मना रहा है। आप विदित होँ कि आकाशवाणी रोहतक केन्द्र की स्थापना 8 मई 1976 को हुई थी।

20 किलोवाट के इस मीडियम वेव केन्द्र के प्रसारण को रेडियो श्रोता 262.4 मीटर पर अर्थात 1143 किलोहर्ट्ज पर सुन सकते हैं |

Relationship is our deepest need. We all crave to share in exploring relationships. We are always prepared to enjoy even suffering. Let us keep believing in the faith to give others what we could not or did not give to ourselves. This self-realization and conscious awareness is the epitome that enables us to be happy even when in pain.I am very obliged to my grandmother who has played an amazing role in developing my personality. Though she was not well-educated, she built and shaped my personality by telling and explaining moral stories from our great epics: "Ramayana" and "Panchtantra" in my childhood.Though since 2002 she is no longer with me, I still feel the flow of the fragrance of her noble thoughts and teachings in my own heart. She taught me "how to use and follow right ways and plans and how to carry on struggle". I fully believe in her words: “If you cannot do great things yourself, remember that you may do small things in a great way. A winner never quits and a quitter never wins. You must be always optimistic. Always take advice from your elders, parents and teachers." Her memory lies with me as a treasure and keeps me always in giving strength and encouragement. She is still alive in my meek and thankful heart.

पूरी दुनिया ने सुना चापरामारी के पक्षियों का कलरव,

डॉन कोरस डे (भोर का कोरस दिवस) के मौके पर रविवार को जलपाईगुड़ी के चापरामारी जंगल से 350 प्रजातियों के पक्षियों का कलरव रेडियो के माध्यम से पूरे दुनिया में प्रसारित किया गया.

एशिया में जो एकमात्र जगह इसके लिए चुनी गयी थी, वह चापरामारी है. विश्व के विभिन्न भू-भागों के पक्षियों के कलरव को रविवार की सुबह ऑल इंडिया रेडियो, आयरलैंड रेडियो पर प्रसारित किया गया. हालांकि बारिश के कारण चापरामारी की 650 प्रजातियों में से करीब 350 पक्षी प्रजातियों की आवाज ही लाइव सुनी जा सकी.

रविवार की भीगी-भीगी सुबह में मोर, वनमुर्गी, श्यामा, किंगफिशर, बुलबुल जैसे पक्षियों की आवाज रेडियो पर गूंजी.पक्षी विशेषज्ञ सुदीप्त राय जी ने कहा कि पक्षियों की आवाज की यह रिकार्डिंग पर्यावरण संरक्षण के लिहाज से भी महत्वपूर्ण है. आगामी 10 साल बाद इसी तरह की रिकार्डिंग की तुलना करने पर पक्षियों की विविधता घटने या बढ़ने का अंदाजा लगाया जा सकेगा.

ऑल इंडिया रेडियो दिल्ली की एक अधिकारी मोनिका गुलाटी जी ने बताया कि बीते साल डॉन कोरस डे के लिए आग्रा का चयन किया गया था. इस बार विश्व स्तर पर चापरामारी को जगह मिली.

उन्होंने बताया कि साढ़े छह घंटा तक पक्षियों के कलरव का प्रसारण हुआ. उन्होंने कहा कि इसके लिए बीते दो महीने से तैयारी चल रही थी.

SUMMER TRAINING ON RADIO OPENS IN BHUBANESWAR

Philanthropic organisation Outreach started a summer training programme on radio here on Thursday presided over by the organisation’s convenor Subrat Kumar Pati.

All India Radio (AIR) State Correspondent Sudhansu Sekhar Dhada, educationalist Prof Amareswar Mishra and former Cuttack AIR Director Dr Shantanu Rath attended as guests and inaugurated the programmme.

Thirty young students participated in the workshop in which they would be trained on radio script writing, live show presentation, pronunciation and modulation, outstation broadcast, radio news reporting and reading, listeners’ interaction, dubbing and voice acting and public service broadcasting. The participants would also visit radio stations and work on practical assignments in professional studios and would get change to work with popular radio broadcasters, RJs and experts.

Inspiration - Kerala’s 1st Female Stem Cell Donor Met the Child She Saved.

In 2013, Kanmani Kannan, a native of Pachaperumalpatti village in the Tiruchirappalli district of Tamil Nadu, signed up as a stem cell donor during a medical camp in Kerala. Once the camp ended, she kept the registration card close to her at all times in the hope that someday she would be chosen to save someone’s life.

Interestingly, the call came four years later and that too, two days before her graduation ceremony. However, nothing was to stop Dr Kanmani, who was more than glad that her stem cells would provide a person with a new lease of life. This deed also led to her becoming the first woman stem cell donor in Kerala.

As is the protocol followed in such scenarios, the identity of the recipient was kept under wraps.

The mystery was finally revealed at a programme jointly organised by the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Datri Blood Stem Cell Donors Registry in Kochi on Thursday, giving Dr Kanmani the opportunity to meet the recipient.
The beneficiary of Dr Kanmani’s selfless act was Sreemali Balasuriya, a 6-year-old from Sri Lanka, who was diagnosed with thalassemia when she was only two months old and would undergo a blood transfusion every 14 days.

Sreemali’s parents who professed their heartfelt gratitude to the young doctor as well as the organisations and medical teams, without whose intervention, their daughter would have continued to struggle with her debilitating condition.

Sreemali’s father, Jayanth, was running from hospital to hospital before he zeroed in on one in Bengaluru to provide his daughter with the best treatment available.
This was an emotional meeting for both Kanmani and the Balasuriya family. In fact, when she was speaking about her experience—right from registering for the programme to finally meeting her ‘blood baby’—Kanmani was at a loss for words.

All India Radio, Kurnool is compled 25 years of gratifying years by 9th May, 2017. All India Radio, Kurnool was informally inaugurated on 1-5-1992 and formally on 9-5-1992 by ShriKotlaVijayaBhaskar Reddy, the then Union Minister Of Law, Justice and Company Affairs and ShriAjit Kumar Panja, Minister of State, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting and the journey of All India Radio, Kurnool has started eventually.

                                   A Workshop organized by RABM(P), Thiruvananthapuram on the topic “Motivational Course for the Retiring Staff” commenced today 07.05.2018 (Monday) at Ooty. 22 officials from various offices of Prasar Bharati participate in the Workshop. Shri.Radhakrishnan.S, AD(P), Thiruvananthapuram in the inaugural address highlighted the efforts of PB in providing congenial and comfortable working environment to the Staff and ultimately, in leading them to an enriched and satisfied retired life. Smt.Chitralekha, AD(P), in change of both AIR:Coimbatore and AIR:Ooty expressed her immense happiness in the coincidence of conducting such a programme on the 25th Anniversay day of AIR:Ooty . Shri.Vijayakumar, Shri.Ramesh, PEXs’, AIR, Ooty were present in the inaugural session. Smt.Lekha Gopal, PEX, RABM(P), Thiruvananthapuram welcomed the participants. The participants introduced themselves and each one of them shared one positive aspect each of the great National Broadcaster - Prasar Bharati which they are serving with passion and sincerity. Topics like Stress Management, Art of Engagement, Financial Management, Health Management, Success Stories shared by veteran Senior Citizens etc. will be dealt with due course under active interactive sessions, practical exercises and group discussions.

‘Devotion to duty is the highest form of worship of God’, says Swami Vivekananda. Certainly, this may not be simply a quote, when there are employees like Ms. Rita Shukla who epitomizes devotion and hard work.

Ms. Rita Shukla superannuated in April, 2018 after completing 30 years of service in All India Radio. After joining All India Radio in 1987 as an L.D.C. she gave her services to Civil Construction Wing (CCW), Mumbai till 2015. Later she joined Central Sales Unit, Mumbai and retired from here itself.

During her tenure she did justice to each and every work allocated to her and her sincerity and dedication towards the work is beyond question. Her skills, abilities and politeness make her everyone’s favourite in the office.

On the occasion of her retirement function Mrs. Renu Chaturvedi, (Assistant Director Programme), felicitated Ms.Rita and conveyed her best wishes for her prosperous and healthy life ahead. Mr. S. V. Kamble (Administrative Officer) and other staff members of CSU also conveyed their thoughts and poured in their wishes.

My third story is about death.

When I was 17, I read a quote that went something like: "If you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right." It made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?" And whenever the answer has been "No" for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.

Remembering that I'll be dead soon is the most important tool I've ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything - all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure - these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

About a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer. I had a scan at 7:30 in the morning, and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas. I didn't even know what a pancreas was. The doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer that is incurable, and that I should expect to live no longer than three to six months. My doctor advised me to go home and get my affairs in order, which is doctor's code for prepare to die. It means to try to tell your kids everything you thought you'd have the next 10 years to tell them in just a few months. It means to make sure everything is buttoned up so that it will be as easy as possible for your family. It means to say your goodbyes.

I lived with that diagnosis all day. Later that evening I had a biopsy, where they stuck an endoscope down my throat, through my stomach and into my intestines, put a needle into my pancreas and got a few cells from the tumor. I was sedated, but my wife, who was there, told me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctors started crying because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is curable with surgery. I had the surgery and I'm fine now.

This was the closest I've been to facing death, and I hope it's the closest I get for a few more decades. Having lived through it, I can now say this to you with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely intellectual concept.

No one wants to die. Even people who want to go to heaven don't want to die to get there. And yet death is the destination we all share. No one has ever escaped it. And that is as it should be, because Death is very likely the single best invention of Life. It is Life's change agent. It clears out the old to make way for the new. Right now the new is you, but someday not too long from now, you will gradually become the old and be cleared away. Sorry to be so dramatic, but it is quite true.

Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.

When I was young, there was an amazing publication called The Whole Earth Catalog, which was one of the bibles of my generation. It was created by a fellow named Stewart Brand not far from here in Menlo Park, and he brought it to life with his poetic touch. This was in the late 1960's, before personal computers and desktop publishing, so it was all made with typewriters, scissors, and polaroid cameras. It was sort of like Google in paperback form, 35 years before Google came along: it was idealistic, and overflowing with neat tools and great notions.

Stewart and his team put out several issues of The Whole Earth Catalog, and then when it had run its course, they put out a final issue. It was the mid-1970s, and I was your age. On the back cover of their final issue was a photograph of an early morning country road, the kind you might find yourself hitchhiking on if you were so adventurous. Beneath it were the words: "Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish." It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you.

It is when the clock strikes 3.30 pm almost everyday it is the story telling time for the listeners of AIR FM Dharmpauri , Tamil Nadu a small Local Radio Station with a listening population of 3 to 5 lakhs. This station revives the good old memories of the listeners which makes them to revive their youthful golden days. In the past 10 months AIR FM LRS Dharmapuri broadcasts "Thirai Chitram" (Stories Retold from Vintage Films) narrating the stories almost from frame by frame in 30 mts along with the popular songs of the particular film under narration. The listeners especially of the yesteryears express their happiness through lettters and SMS that they are brought back to their old days and the enjoyment with their family members and a few are no more and the old theatre of their native place which preserve their happiness inspite of their new cosy dwelling now. The programme has been conceived and narrated by Shri.R.Murali PEX

जेल परिसर में नया रेडियो स्टेशन शुरू - अहमनगर {महाराष्ट्र}

जेलों का नाम सुनते ही कष्ट और यातना का खयाल किसी के भी मन में आता है, लेकिन कुछ जेलें ऐसी हैं, जो अपने कैदियों की जिंदगी को सुधारने और उन्हेंखुशहाल रखने के लिए नए-नए कदम उठाती हैं. ऐसा ही कुछ नया किया है महाराष्ट्र के अहमनगर जिला जेल प्रशासन ने. इस जेल के परिसर में एक नया रेडियो स्टेशन शुरू किया गया है. सबसे खास बात ये है कि इसे चलाने वाले जेल के कैदी ही हैं.

जेल परिसर में संचालित स्टेशन के संचालन की जिम्मेदारी ही कैदियों को दी गई है. दअरसल, जेल में रेडियो स्टेशन शुरू करने के पीछे मकसद है कैदियों को नकारात्मक विचारों से हटाकर सकारात्मक दिशा की ओर ले जाना है. रेडियो स्टेशन से भजन और गीतों का प्रसारण किया जाता है. जेल में शुरू किए रेडियो स्टेशन उपकरणों से अच्छी तरह सुसज्जित है और कैदियों को भरपूर मनोरंजन उलब्ध कराते हुए उनकी जिदंगी में खुशहाली ला रहा है.

सीनियर जेलर शामकांत शेडगे ने कहा, ये कदम कैदियों के दिमाग से नकारात्मकता हटानने के लिए उठाया गया है ताकि वे एक सकारात्मक रास्ता चुन सकें.
