National Channel of All India Radio recently organised an event “Mohe Rang De” to celebrate Holi. True to the festival, Mohe Rang De displayed a boisterous interplay of vibrant colours, Indian classical music, Kathak dance performances and the famous Qawali of Rampur. The audience was left mesmerised by a panoply of performances from vocal artist Madhumita Ray, Kathak dancer AsavariPawar and soul-stirring qawalis by MajeedQawal.
The event was presided by Suresh Chandra Panda, Member Personnel, Prasar Bharti. The famous artist Madhumita Ray sang some Holi classics like Rag Bahar, Rag Basant, Thumri, Dadri while AsavariPawar performed ‘YashodaKeLal’ and Apsara dance. The event concluded in a most fitting finale with guests joining the artists in playing Holi with Flowers.
The success of the event once again marked All India Radio’s National Channel's hold on its listeners across the country.
