Be Healthy: Practical Tips from Our Member, Odisha State Secretary of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan

Yoga is critical in each individual’s life, since it keeps up harmony among body and brain. This is the sort of activity that aids in learning physical and mental control through a given practice. It advances interior and outer power by associating body and brain with nature. It resembles a solution that slowly settles the phases of the organs of our body and fixes different diseases. In actuality, yoga is the activity which controls the exercises and the body parts breath.

Our PB Parivar Member Shri Pranabandhu Behera,Post Graduate in Economics,who is retired as Audience Research Officer from Doordarshan Kendra, Bhubaneswar since May'2020. Thirty years of experience in the media research. He has joined as a Yog Practitioner in the year 2005 in  a Yog Sadhana Kendra of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan at Bhubaneswar. Bharatiya Yog Sansthan is a premier Yog Institute imparting yog training to millions of people in our country and abroad through it's more than 4000 Yog Sadhana Kendras free of cost. The headquarter of the Sansthan is at Sector-3, Rohini, Delhi. 

From a Yog Practioner , he has became Odisha State Secretary of Bharatiya Yog Sansthan and working in this capacity for more than 10 years.  I have attended a number of Yog Shivirs at All India Level and at State Level . Also attended a number of yog related seminars/workshops. Presently motivating people to join Yog to lead a sound healthy life and to play a better role in the society and  in the Nation Building.

He will be giving guidance to our blog members on yoga from today. 







STANDING POSTURES

TADASAN (Palm Tree Posture)


Tada means palm tree. This asan forms the base for all the standing asans and teaches one to attain stability and firmness like palm tree.

Benefits:

·         Brings stability in the body

·         Helps to clear up congestion of the spinal nerves

·         Relieves frozen shoulders, back pain



Caution:

·         Persons suffering from arthritis, varicose vein and vertigo should avoid  lifting the heals

Technique (How to perform):

·         Stand straight on a mat with feet parallel and hands touching the body

·         Take your hands to the front, interlock the fingers and turn the wrist outward

·         Inhaling take the arms up above your head

·         Raise the heels off the floor and balance on the toes

·         Stay in this position for 10-20 seconds

·         Exhaling bring the heels down and the palms on the head

·         Inhaling raise the arms and heels up for second time

·         Exhaling release the interlock of the fingers and bring the arms and heels down and           come back to the standing posture

·         Relax in Bishram position.
