3rd August 2016 was a special day for Akashvani Pune Parivar. Prasar Bharati Parivar blog, a national level effort to increase positivity in our organisation, which is primarily steered from AIR, Pune achieved 15 lac page views today. The blog which had a humble beginning from Shillong has culminated into a vast tree with outstanding voluntary effort by the dedicated Pune team lead by Smt. Sangeeta Upadhye, ADE.
The tree plantation drive at HPT, Hadapsar also had some unique features. The drive started by Shri Milind Jain, EA under the leadership of Shri Hemant Paradkar, AE and Shri D.K. Sudame, ADE did not bank on the official funds, instead the staff of Akashvani Pune contributed voluntarily for planting trees in memory of their near and dear ones. It was really moving to note that Smt. Sangeeta Upadhye, ADE planted a sapling in memory of late Shri Suhas Bodke, who had worked as helper and Technician for long at HPT, Hadapsar, Pune. He was snatched away from us by the cruel disease cancer. Shri Ravindra Ranjekar, AE planted a sapling in memory of his friend and our late AE, Shri Ajay Bhoinullu, who had expired 3 years back. He was then a serving officer and was in-charge of HPT, AIR, Hadapsar. It was a rare gesture to remember our late employees and plant a tree in their memory.
The event also saw participation from all wings that is admin, programme and engineering and further strengthened the bond of cohesiveness among the employees of Akashvani Pune. Shri Ashish Bhatnagar, DDG(E) and Shri Ravindra Khasnis, Programme Head congratulated the officials for this innovative initiative and promised their fullest support for such endeavours.
