Shri Cypriano Lopes, Programme Executive of Doordarshan Kendra Panaji had died on 23rd Feb. 2016, four years back. He was 54 years old at the time of his death. Mr.Lopes joined Doordarshan Kendra Panaji in August 1992 as Transmission Executive and was later promoted to Programme Executive in 2005. Besides a wonderful person, a sportsman, he took keen interest in various socio-cultural organizations. Mr. Lopes as a philanthropist worked for senior citizens and needy students. He was a staunch supporter of Romi Konkani and Goan culture. He was an active member of Dalgado Konkani Academy and was presently serving as Vice President.
Mr.Lopes is survived by his wife Mrs.Ben Bella de Pedro Sequeira and two sons Asher and Elizer Lopes.
Prasar Bharati Parivar volunteer tried to contact Mr. Bella wife of Lt. Shri Lopes but was unable to contact her. Her phone was out of reach.
