After a prolonged illness, Shri Mohammed Sheriff, Retd Cameraman Grade 1 of Doordarshan, served in many places across India, passed away today morning at Madurai. Pray God Peace may engulf the departed soul.
Prasar Bharati Parivar condoles the sad demise of Shri Sheriff and prays to almighty to give strength to his family and friends to bear this irreparable loss.
A touching comment from Mohan PRao - 50 years of bonding friendship with him, We studied in Adyar film instt together and served in Srinagar DDk and Chennai DDk and we were business partners and family friends and i had the sad experience of seeing him diminish stage by stage loosing all his body parts working one by one tarting from his leg to the entire body, loosing speech and last moments before departure to Madurai only his eyes were moving like a clock pendulam and his brain was sharp and memory good and whomsoever visited him he used to enquire everyones welfare and before leaving for Madurai last week or so he gave a pathetic look that am taking leave of you dear friend forever. So sad that I lost someone very very close to me . But am happy that he is releaved of all his torture living with machines and tubes for the past two years.Om Shanthi Om shanthi. Today evening 5 pm will be his final journey to reach Allah.
