Of the three talents who participated in the National Level All India Radio Music Competition, 2018 held in August 2018, two budding talents have been awarded bringing laurels to Akashvani Cuttack in particular and to Odisha in general. In a small gathering in AIR, Cuttack premises, the winners were felicitated on 27th March, 2019 as part of the World Theatre Day celebration. In a meeting chaired by Sri Prakash Kumar Pati, DDG(E) the Head of Programme Sri Tarun Kanti Rout, AD(P) and eminent singer Geeta Pattnaik graced the dais. The budding singer Sharanya Mishra, who secured first position in light vocal music category, and violin virtuoso Monalipriya Giri, who came second in classical instrumental category were felicitated with trophy, certificate and award amounts. Performances by these two budding talents that followed the prize distribution, had a musical magic effect on the audience.
