During the Jashan-e-Mamani, Festival In Kargil, Purgi Version of Prime Ministers Mann Ki Baat Programme has been conferred with a Certificate for helping in Reviving the Purgi Language and helping towards the preservation and upliftment of Ladakh’s Ethenic Heritage.
The certificate was received by Programme Head AIR Kargil Lobzang Namgyail and was presented by Chairman/Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil on behalf of Himalayan Cultural and Heritage Foundation.
The Secretary HCHF Dr Sonam Wangchuk told that this Programme has helped in reviving the dying language of Purig and has helped in reviving most of the words which were almost vanished from the society.
The organization also fecilitated Copy Editor RNU AIR Kargil Mohammad Abdulah for his efforts towards revival and introduction of Lost Purgi Language by the help of Purgi news.
