Nostalgia times - a post by a former RJ

A walk back in time...to 1995 when Manish Sahi and I ( strangers from 2 corners of the world ) ended up in the same audition for FM presenters...made the cut, then became colleagues on All India Radio AND Times FM ( he really was following me around, I'm convinced! ) before fate intervened and TWO DECADES+ LATER, here we are - at the same spot with two kids!

This is where we both began our careers in broadcasting & media, forging beautiful friendships with so many amazing people ( his friends, my friends, OUR friends )

It was a rare delight to walk the same corridor again, take in the changes made over the last two decades. And best of all, we relived those glory days with two of our dearest friends from "back then" - Naveen ( heading up English Talks now ) and Subhadra, rocking on with gusto! Can't thank them enough for giving us + 2 bemused kids a guided tour of the hotspots, old and new. The Western Music CD library still bears our fingerprints, I'm sure ( I can almost see Linda Mukherjee at her desk in her elegantly draped saree while Sushmaji sweetly tells me off for some CD-related matter from last night's show ) Curiously, the staircase of the new annexe ( to our old beloved AIR building ) almost resembles London's most iconic staircase in Heal's on Tottenham Court Road.
Overjoyed and overwhelmed!
