Dr. Pratima Jagtap, Sr. announcer, AIR Pune retired from service on 31st may, 2018 on superannuation. Dr. Jagtap joined Akashvani Jalgaon on 21st April, 1990. She served department more than 28 years. In year 2006 she had written thesis on 'Lad Smriti Vyakhyanmala' organised by Akashvani and achieved doctorate. In April 2012 she joined AIR Pune. During her service she penned many title songs for various serials and feathers broadcast on radio. Dr. Jagtap is also famous as writer and poet among Marathi literature world. She had written many stories for Marathi magazines, Poems and short stories for children for which she received many awards. 'Vag Vaibhav' a book written by Dr. Jagtap is based on her thesis which was submitted to achieve doctorate. She produced a serial 'Bhumi' for Akashvani. The serial was based on novel 'Bhumi' written by Smt. Asha Bage. Before her retirement she was writing, directing and participating in Marathi weekly serial 'Mast Chalalay' which was well appreciated by listeners. During her service she produced many features on various subjects. Conducted interviews of renowned personalities for broadcast. On 31st May farewell party was organised. Many listeners of AIR Pune sent their messages and best wishes for Dr. Jagtap which show her popularity among the listeners.
