Akashvani Pune Parivar felicitated Pranjal Patil, who overcoming her visual impairment cracked the civil services exam, her father, Sh Lahensingh b. Patil who is working as Engineering Assistant at LPT Badalapur,Maharashtra and her proud mother.
Shri Ravindra Khasnis, Asst. Director(P), in his welcome speech appreciated the unparalleled efforts and sounding sucess of Pranjal. Speaking at the occasion Shri Ashish Bhatnagar, Dy. Director General (E), AIR Pune quoted that the Real Valuable things in the world like Love, greatness, knowledge, Inspiration etc are beyond the vision of visible eyes. He said Pranjal has come like a powerful magnet to motivate and inspire us all. Apart from an emotionally worded Memento, Akashvani Pune Parivar presented Pranjal a Radio set as a special gift
Thereafter Smt Pratima Kulkarni Sr. announcer of AIR Pune conducted on stage interview with Pranjal folowwed by interactive session, which saw more than 15 questions from audience..Listeners of Akashvani Pune, members of blinds associations , aspirant students who are preparing for UPSC exams, and staff of AIR Pune actively participated in interactive session.
At interactive session Pranjal told that she lost her vision completely when she was just six.Though she always nursed this ambition, she started studying seriously for UPSC from last year. “I love to read and the entire process of academics excites me.My inspiration is Daisaku Ikeda, a Buddhist philosopher, educator, author and anti-nuclear activist from Japan. I studied on my own and took test series from private academy in Delhi,” she said.“There were times when I was marred with doubts and disbelief regarding my ambition that. I think that when you have doubts, then only you get motivated,” added Pranjal.“In my education technology played an important role. I got this software installed on my computer which would read out chapters from various books for me,” she told.
The event was organised as a team activity by voluntary participation of staff members of all disciplines and cadres - briefly coordinated by Arun Solanki PEX, Abdul Rajjak Hebbalkar and Prasad Karadkar.
