I joined my station on 15 June 2015 in this renowned organisation. We as fresher saw too many ups and downs in the department but overall it has been a wonderful journey. Hyderabad particularly played a vital role in this. Coming from North, as my hometown is Lucknow, Hyderabad greeted me well and gave all the warmth. As far as Doordarshan Kendra Hyderabad is concerned, the staffs here is cooperative and they also welcomed us “The New Ones” with all their hearts. Being from a northern state it was always a doubt whether we will be comfortable in south and the work culture, but to my surprise everybody here is as humble and helping as in north. Language has never bothered us in our duties here. We catched up quickly and now are familiar with the language as well to a certain extent due to our colleagues’ cooperation. Starting my journey with such hardworking and good people around, I consider myself lucky to be a part of DDK Hyderabad team. I have seen all the cadres working together over any problem and rectifying them in the supervision of seniors.
After the induction training course provided by NABM we are now comfortable to work in any area, at any position regarding transmission and maintenance. Since it is a 24 hors transmission here and being a major Kendra learning process in never ending for everybody. The rules and regulations are strictly followed here which make the work environment disciplined.
I have gained a lot here and wherever I will go for my next posting one thing I am sure that the knowledge received here will be helpful for me to adjust in any office. I am grateful to all my seniors and friends in the entire department.
