24th January 1994 was a great day in the history of broadcasting in our country, as for the first time, FM stereo services were inaugurated in all 4 metros in India, and, as a special case, in Goa as well.
Since then, our channel has given listeners some unforgettable moments in broadcasting. The late 90s saw some fantastic personalities from different walks of life grace our studios (from Shah Rukh Khan in 1999, KishoriAmonkar in 2003, Wendell Rodrigues in 2007 to Gen. Sunith Rodrigues (retd) in 2016.
FM Rainbow, Goa also entered the Limca Book of Records in 2006 for producing an unprecedented series called Night of the Fortnight featuring Goa’s Greatest Bands live in concert!!
Therefore, to celebrate our success, AIR Panaji organized an Invited Audience Programme titled “FM RAINBOW @ 24” on Tuesday, 23rd January 2018 at Institute Menezes Braganza A/c Auditorium, Panaji, Goa (on the eve of our anniversary) containing various acts like StandUp Comedy, Skit, Bollywood Dances, Flute Recital and a fantastic performance by Coffee Cats - the western music band that won the All India Radio Music Competition
Shri Devidas Sudame, Head of Office and Deputy Director AIR Panaji welcomed the gathering. The chief guest for the function Shri Narayan Navti, Assistant State Election Commissioner spoke on the occasion.
