It was festival time in Manjeri F.M,Kerala,last Wednesday. New Year and the station winning the prestigious Dr B.R.Ambedkar media award of the State Government,were celebrated with pomp, fervour and gaiety. Marked by get-together of staff members and casual assignees, accompanied by singing of popular songs ,culminating in a grand feast, it was an unforgettable day for all participants.
D.Pradeep Kumar, Head of Programmes,who annexed the first-ever award for this fledgling LRS, was honoured with presentation of a glittering shawl(ponnada) by R.Kanakambaran,renowned radio jockey.The HoP was also presented with a Ravi Varma painting.
The function was chaired by M.Umar,S.E.A.Felicitations were offered by Sevil Jihan,K.Muneer, Transmission Executives,E.T.Radhakrishnan,S.E.A, E.M.Shajeer, E.A, Sudheer Babu,V.N.Jalaja, and Manzoor, casual assignees.Melodious songs were sung by Sudha Nedungadi, M.Muhsina Beegum,Vidya Anoop,K.Akhil,C.Ramya,T.P.Viaya Kumar,P.Saidalavi, and P.Visakh.
