The Club day of Akashavani Recreation Club, AIR Thiruvananthapuram was celebrated on 28.04.2016 at station premises. The formal meeting was convened under the chairmanship of Shri R. C Gopal, Station Director AIR Thiruvananthapuram.
The event was graced by Shri. T P Senkumar I.P.S, Director General of Police, Kerala State. He formally inaugurated the Club Day celebrations and family gathering. On the occasion, he spoke about the increasing road accidents in the state and persuaded that media persons to be vigilant on the issue. He emphasized on the importance of highlighting the matter through our various programmes.
Later the cultural night was inaugurated by Shrimati Rajasree Warrier, renown Bharatanatyam artist from Kerala. A special issue of the Receration Club’s magazine ‘Vanampadi’ released. Shri Muraleedharan Thazhakara Secretary of the Recretion Club, Station Engineer Shri N. Rajendran, Shrimati Rakhi Krishnan, Administrative officer were present for the function. Cultural events were followed by the merit awards to the wards of Recreation Club members.
