AIR Jodhpur celebrates its 45th foundation day on 9th May 2016.

All India Radio Jodhpur is celebrating its foundation day on 9 th May 2016. It will be its 46th foundation day. This station was commissioned on 9th May 1971. During this time renowned cricket commentator Mr. Murli Manohar Manjul was the Programme Head, and he produced many documentaries including one entitled " Long Live Longewala". For producing this documentary Mr. Manjul had to go in an army truck with a recorder. Mr. Manjul in an emotional interview over telephone line acknowledged this fact that he went fifty kilometers into the neighbouring country's territory to record interviews and sound effects of the 1971 war. Another programme which was very popular was border programme "सीमाड़े री गूँज".

To commemorate the foundation day All India Radio Jodhpur is producing a documentary entitled "आवाजों के दस्तख़त" which will be broadcast at state hook up at 5.35 pm on 9th May 2016. The duration of this documentary would be approximately 25 Mts. This documentary will feature Hon'ble Minister of State for I&B's blessings and blessings from senior officers from the Directorate. 


It will also feature telephonic interviews with some of the senior officers who were posted at All India Radio Jodhpur at different times. Among them were Qaji Anees Ul Haq, Mr. Anil Kumar Ram, and Ms. Asha Shukla, and the senior most Announcer who made the first announcement on 9th May 1971 Shri Mukut Mathur. All the PB Blog members are invited to listen to this documentary on 9th May 2016 at 5.35 PM on MW 531 KHz. ie 564.97 Mts. Feedback will be highly appreciated.
