To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Prasar Bharathi, SD, AIR, Thiruvananthapuram planted a “Kanikonna” (Cassia Fistula) in the presence of staff members. “Kanikonna” (Cassia Fistula) is known as the golden rain tree. It’s a flowering plant in the family Fabaceae. The species is native to the Indian Sub Continent. It is the state flower of Kerala. It is a popular ornamental plant and is also used in herbal medicine.
