Children to read news,anchor phone-ins in Manjeri F.M,Kerala
Manjeri F.M,the fledgling L R S in Kerala,will create history on Nov.14,when a group of young students present 15 programmes, including 12 F.M news bulletins and two developmental bulletins,live,on Children's Day.They will also anchor two phone_in film song programmes,one hour each.
Six students ,from standard 4th to Plus 1,will present train timings, agriculture news,today in history,service announcements, programme highlights,weather,today's thought,daily question and answer,market rates,employment news etc. It is ,perhaps, for the first time in the history of broadcasting in Kerala that such a large number of programmes are presented by children on Children's Day. Student presenters are being trained by Sevil Jihan, Transmission Executive.
Situated in Malappuram,the most populous district in Kerala,Manjeri LRS started morning transmission on 26th January,this year;which has evoked overwhelming response.
