“SAHAYATHRIKAN” a new programme on Migrant Workers is being launched this Deepavali from All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram. The Migrant workers have become an integral part of overall development of the state. They are engaged in various sectors such as agriculture, construction and other industrial arena of Kerala. Majority of them come to Kerala with a hope of making a better living and escape their poor circumstances at their home state. This programme will highlight the problems faced by the migrant workers, their grievances and also their contribution towards the growth of Kerala in socio economic sector. It will also focus on the various welfare schemes formulated by Central and State Government for the welfare of migrant workers and also regarding their psafety and security, entertainment and education.
This programme will be aired by the Thiruvananthapuram and Alappuzha stations of AIR between 10:30 pm and 11:00 pm every third Wednesday of the month. Hindi Songs will be played on the remaining Wednesdays.
