To celebrate 65th anniversary on 2nd Oct. 2017, AIR Pune club organised cultural feast. The annual day celebration was conducted in AIR Pune's auditorium. Event started with 'Ganesh Vandana', a classical dance performance by Ku. Tabbu Hebbalkar. It was followed by tribute to Mahatma Gandhiji on his birth anniversary. To pay tribute Shri. Ashish Bhatnagar [DDG(Engg) and Head of Office], Shri. Gopal Autee [Deputy Director (Prog) and Head of Prog. Section], Shri. Ravindra Ranjekar (Gen. secretary, AIR Pune Club) and Shri. Dilip Palde ( Secretary, AIR Pune Club) were called upon stage. The photo frame of Mahatma Gandhiji was garlanded with flowers. Then staff members and their family members presented solo/ group performances. Some of them rendered solo as well as duet Hindi film songs. Group dance performances were also presented.
The performance of Shri. Bhatnagar and Shri. Autee was a pleasnat surprise to the audience. The audience was highly pleased with their performances. Smt. Sangeeta Upadhye [Asst. Director (Engg)] played Violin. She was accompanied by Shri. Ravindra Ranjekar on Tabla. On this occasion photography competition was conducted. Staff and their family members were appealed to participate by submitting photos which they had clicked with camera. The result was announced during this event and first three winners were bestowed with prizes. Shri. Ashish Bhatnagar,DDG(E), Mrs. Bhatnagar and Shri. Gopal Autee,Dy.Director(P) distributed the prizes. A power point presentation was shown in which various cultural and social activities carried out in AIR Pune through out the year, were displayed. It was followed by remaining cultural programme. People enjoyed this cultural programme with loud clapping. Elder family members of staff were called upon stage and honored with bouquet of flowers by Shri. Bhatnagar. Shri. Hebbalkar and Smt. Rashmi Rimzim conducted the programme ably and aptly. The celebration was concluded after delicious lunch. On this occasion the whole office campus wore a festive look. In order to make this event successful a lot of preparations were made by Shri. Ranjekar, Shri. Palde and their team.
