Started way back in the year 1954 , Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan has evolved as a strong brand name for All India Radio in the mind space of connoisseurs for over six decades. It is an annual music event organized all over the country featuring both eminent artistes and upcoming youngsters from the stream of Hindustani and Carnatic Classical Music. No artiste of national and international eminence has ever missed out from being featured in the prestigious event , a much sought after by both , artistes and connoisseurs .
This year also, the Sammelan will be held simultaneously at twenty four different cities of the country featuring the best musical talent . All India Radio Pune is organizing a music concert in this chain. This year Akashvani Sangeet Sammelan evening concert at Pune will feature vocal recital by Subhra Guha & Sarangi recital by ustad Kamaal Sabari.
