Workshop on “PFMS, GST and BHAVISHYA” conducted by DG:AIR in Co-ordination with RABM(P), Thiruvananthapuram

A two-day workshop on "PFMS, GST & BHAVISHYA" was conducted successfully at Thiruvananthapuram during the 24th & 25th of July in which 60 participants from 52 offices of AIR participated and eminent faculties dealt with the subjects. The programme was conducted in the Computer Centre of the University of Kerala, in their computer lab having state of the art facilities and high speed network connection.

Smt.Lekha Gopal, PEx, RABM(P), Thiruvananthapuram welcomed the participants. Shri.Radhakrishnan.S, AD(P), RABM(P inaugurated the workshop.Shri. Krishan Kumar Pateria, Asstt. Accounts Officer, Ministry of I&B, New Delhi was present at Thiruvananthapuram for whole two days, as part and parcel of the course.Shri. Zia ul Islam, Project Manager, State Project Management Unit (SPMU), Kerala with his team conducted the classes on the first day. Accounts Officers from SPMU, Shri. N.Venkata Subramanian and Smt.Jayasree Vinod assisted him and also actively involved with each and every individual participant in clarifying the doubts. 

Smt. Rakhi Krishnan, Administrative Officer, All India Radio, Thiruvananthapuram acted as a connect between the faculty and the participants. The live demonstrations of Smt. Rakhi Krishnan in drawing the salary through PFMS, making all the participants practically do the same, was highly beneficial and praiseworthy. The second day’s highlight was the presence of Shri. Krishan Gopal, DD(A), FAC Section, Directorate General, All India Radio who was there with the participants throughout the day clarifying the queries on all the three subjects.

Shri. Padmakumar, Superintendent, Commissionerate of GST& Central Excise, Thiruvananthapuram explained the basic concept as well as the practical aspects of GST and Smt. Rakhi Krishnan co-ordinated with him in bringing out the nuances of GST.Smt. Sobha, AAO, PAO’s Office, Central Board of Excise & Customs , Ministry of Finance, Government of India explained in detail the theoretical as well as practical aspects of “Bhavishya”. All the participants interacted well with her and got all their doubts cleared in detail. 

All the participants have evaluated the course as highly beneficial and have taken along with them, the contact numbers of the members of the faculty. In turn, the entire faculty expressed their willingness to help them at any point of time.
