Senior Announcer Shri Dhanna Ram Choudhary retires on 30th June after rendering thirty six years of glorious service. Shri Choudhary, popularly known as Dhan Ji, his stock character name was very popular in the rural areas for his very popular farm and home programme presentation. Shri Choudhary joined as English Stenographer in the year 1981, and later in the year 1986 he was selected for the post of Junior Announcer ( Compete Rural Programme ). Holding a Masters degree in Rajasthani, he was apt choice for rural programme presentation. He has thousands of field coverages experience and it would not be out of place to mention that in one of the recent field coverage innocent children around 14-15 years literally touched him and asked Shri Choudhary to say some of his popular style to believe whether he was really the same person who speaks to them every evening. All India Radio, Jodhpur would be missing his contributions especially field coverages. A never say NO person for work Shri Choudhary covered an OB on 23rd June also. May be before 30th some more OB's. He has a happy family. An Electrical Engineer son, working with Rajasthan Electricity Department as Junior Engineer, and an M. tech Daughter, also in Electrical Engineer. Both children are happily married and settled.
