All India Radio Bhopal bagged an international award for its documentary ‘Keep Coming Nanu Thangu’. The documentary has been declared as best programme on climate change by Asia Pacific Broadcasting Union. The award was declared during the 3rd ABU Media Summit on Climate Change held in Dhaka. It carries a trophy and a cash prize of $1,000. The Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) is an association of broadcasting organisations with 280 members in 57 countries and reaches a potential audience of about three billion people. The awarded documentary is an endeavour to throw light on prevalent Indian traditions that are close to nature. Hundreds of examples exist in our folk and tribal life that reveal profound understanding towards our environment. It is extremely important to dust off these rich traditions, integrate them into our present lifestyle and incorporate them in the strategy being adopted to tackle water crisis, stemming from climate change. The production team included Arvind Soni and Rajesh Bhat. Music was composed by Abhay Phagre and narrator was Padam Bhandari.
