Shri BN Banerjee Retd. DDE and father of Indranil Banerjee, SEA AIR Kolkata expired today at an age of 78 years. Sh. BN Banerjee had joined as EA at AIR Kolkata and got first transfer at AIR Silguri. There he married Ms. Jharna Banerjee, then Announcer AIR Siliguri. Later he moved to Bhagalpur and then to AIR Kurseong. He then worked as ASE at AIR Kolkata and the at SPT Chinsurah from 1978 to 1988, with stalwarts like BN Bandopadhyaya, GSS Sharma. He was then transferred to AIR Silchar on promotion as SE and in last worked at Zonal office Kolkata as DDE from where he retired in 1997.
Sh. BN Banerjee was paralyzed around two years ago and was confined to bed in his last days. He is survived by his two sons and wife. PB parivar spoke to Indranil, his younger son on 09163843820 and offered condolences.
