Consequent upon his retirement on superannuation Sh. Jaswinder Singh ‘Randhawa’, Joint Director (News), All India Radio, Chandigarh is retiring on superannuation on 30th April 2017. Sh. Singh was born on 12th April 1957 at village Balahara, Post Office Khera, Distt. Fatehgarh Sahib (Punjab). He did his Graduation at Fatehgarh Sahib & Bachelor of Journalism from Punjabi University, Patiala . Sh. Singh got first job as Clerk at Punjab National Bank. After two years of service, he was selected by the Union Public Service Commission in the Indian Information Service as Information Asstt. in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting & posted at All India Radio, Chandigarh during 1984. During his entire service, he was posted at many places like Shimla, Jalandhar, & Chandigarh & got various promotions as Field Publicity Officer, Correspondent, Asstt. News Editor, Asstt. Director (News), Deputy Director (News) & now is retiring as Joint Director (News) from All India Radio, Chandigarh. He always tried to perform his best for the department/nation. He had great learning experiences during his years of service. He told that he has seen many rises & falls during his service but always tried to perform his best, with the result he got full co-operation from his colleagues. Sh. Randhawa is blessed with a daughter & a son. His daughter has completed her Post Graduation in the field of International Relation from London School of Economics, London. She has got a scholarship of 28000 Pond from the Govt. of United Kingdom, who is working as Consultant at Helsinki city of Finland country. His son is mentally disable. He is retiring from Govt. service after completing 33 years 02 months by the grace of GOD. Hence he would like to say on the occasion of retirement, he has got various memento/Certificates from Department towards his best services. He thanked all his colleagues & delivered a message for all to do their work honestly, maintain discipline & co-ordination for the welfare of the organization & the nation as a whole. On the day of his retirement on superannuation, Prasar Bharati Parivar extends best wishes to Sh. Jaswinder Singh ‘Randhawa’for happy and peaceful life.
