126th Birth Anniversary of Bharatratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar was celebrated in AIR Pune. At 10:30 a.m. all staff gathered in conference hall. Shri. Ashish Bhatnagar (DDG[Engg] and Head of Office) and Shri. Ravindra Khasnis (Asst. Dir. [Prog] and Head of Prog.) lighted candles and paid floral tribute to Dr. Ambedkar. On this occasion many staff members given a speech remembering Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. While addressing Shri. Khasnis told that last year AIR Pune celebrated as 125th anniversary year and produced number of programmes on Dr. Ambedkar's life. Shri. Bhatnagar highlighted Dr. Ambedkar's contribution towards nation, women and downtrodden people. As a chief guest Shri. Sunil Nikalje was felicitated by Shri. Bhausaheb Pagare (Sr. A.O.). Shri. Nikalje is working in LIC. At present he is national level secretary of SC/ST/NT Welfare Association. During his speech as appeal to get united and fight for welfare. Shri. Pravin Kulkarni (TREX.) hosted the programme and delivered welcome speech. The celebration ended with light refreshment.
