Special interview at All India Radio Coimbatore

All India Radio Coimbatore has broadcast a special interview with Smt Pushpa Girimaji today at 0930am in 999 khz Primary channel and at 0545pm in FM Rainbow 103. In the interview she spoke Indepth about the state and awareness of consumer protection and rigjts in our country, remedial measures ,Redressal avenues available and about regulatory bodies.Pushpa Girimaji is an author, journalist, consumer rights columnist and consumer safety advocate. She is the only Indian journalist to have written a weekly consumer column continuously for over three decades

She has also been the recipient of numerous awards for her professional work, including the Karnataka Rajyotsava Award, The Sanskriti Award, M.R, Pai Award and the Chamelidevi Jain Award.She is also a part of several committees for Consumer rights and Protection.Somee of them are Committee constituted by the Union ministry of consumer affairs to review/amend the Consumer Protection Act ,Inter-ministerial Committee constituted by the Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs on Misleading Advertisements,Empowered Committee, Union Ministry of Consumer Affairs,Consumer Advisory Council, Underwriters Laboratories, United States.
