Classic example of how All India Radio is used by common people. A local resident's association "PARAKKUDY lane resident's association in Trivandrum, Kerala has given live running commentary of local festival ,ATTUKAL PONKALA (Largest congregation of women devotees in the world according to Guinness Book) by All India Radio through public address system to reach thousands of devotees gathered in their area on 11/03/17.That helped devotees to know exact time of lighting their sacred" PONKALA ADUPPU" at par with the temple located somewhere else.This was very well appreciated by thousands of women devotees hosted by the resident's association and
thanked AIR.
