Thrissur:-A I R Kerala stations are conducting Sree Swathi Thirunal Festival every year in memory of Sree Swathi Thirunal Maharaja(April 16, 1813 - December 25, 1846) was the Maharaja of the state of Travancore in India. He reigned under the regency of his mother Maharani Gowri Lakshmi Bayi from 1813 till 1815 and henceforth under the regency of his aunt Maharani Gowri Parvati Bayi from 1815 till 1829. In 1829 he turned major and assumed full powers of ruler and ruled Travancore till his demise in 1846.He was the ruler among musicians and the musician among the Ruler.

concerts each and AIR Kannur is conducting one Concert.Eminent musicians from kerala and out side kerala are participating in these concerts.This year the B'cast of these concerts will 30/04/2017 to 09/05/2017 every day at 9.30 pm.AIR Thrissur conducting these 3 concerts at Palakkad,Thrissur and Irinjalakkuda on 24/03, 25/03, and 26/03/2017 respectively as invited audience programme with the co operation of Sangeetha Sabhas.
On 24th of March at 6.30 pm,a Vocal concert by Dr V R Dileep Kumar at Fine arts society hall with association of Palakkad Fine arts society.Sri T H Subrahmanyam on the violin ,Sri G Chandrasekharan Nair on the Mridangam and Sri Aluva R Rajesh on the Ghatom will accompany him.At Thrissur Dr Pantula Rama will present a vocal recital at Chinmaya Neeranjali Hall on 25/03/2017. Sri Edappally A Ajith Kumar,Sri K Jayakrishnan and Sri Manjoor Unnikrishnan will be the accompanists on the Violin,Mridangam,and Ghatom respectively.Sree Thyagabrahma sangeetha sabha will host this programme.
