To mark the World Radio Day today i.e., 13th Feb 2017 All India Radio Stations in Tamilnadu and Pudhucherry broadcast a Special Radio bridge Programme from 10 am to 11 am . AIR Tiruchirapalli has coordinated this Special Radio Bridge programme with the participation from Chennai , Coimbatore ,Madurai , Pudhucherry and Tirunelveli. The Programme featured eminent personalities with rich media Knowledge and experience and young radio listeners at the studios of AIR Tiruchirappalli.
Former TV and Radio Producer Shri V. Nallathambi from Chennai, Prof.Shri P. Sakthivel(Nano Technology) from Tiruchirapalli, Dr.Prof. Nivedhitha Devadoss (Media) from Pudhucherry, Poet - Writer Kavignar Ko. Ganapathi Subramaniam from Tirunelveli, Educationist Moulvi M.M. Mohamed Ismail Imdhadhi from Coimbatore and Prof. Dr.A. Shantha (Media) from Madurai shared their views on the Power of Radio in this Social Media Age .
Youth in and around Tiruchirapalli district voiced their views through whatsapp and email about their love for Radio.Rainbow Channels of Tamilnadu and Pudhucherry relayed this programme simultaneously.
