Sri.S.Ramegowda, Security Guard, Doordarshan High Power Transmitter, Mysuru retired from Service on attaining the age on superannuation on 31.12.2016 (AN). Sri.Ramegowda is an ex-serviceman, discharged from Indian Army after putting in 16 years and 9 months of exemplary Service as Naik. He has been awarded with High Altitude Medal in the Indian Army.
He joined Doordarshan on 14.05.1996 as Security Guard at Low Power TV transmitter, Mandya. With the commissioning of a High Power Transmitter at Mysuru which is about 45 Kms., from Mandya, the LPT was shut down and the official was transferred to HPT, Mysuru along with the post on 01.10.2003. Later on his services were utilised at DMC, Mysuru. Sri.Ramegowda was very punctual and ready to take up any work assigned to him. He is remembered by his colleagues for his amiable, soft spoken nature. Staff of DMC and HPT, Mysuru, wishes him a very healthy and peaceful retired life.
