Govt. First grade college students bagged first place in District level quiz competation held at All India Radio, Raichur in connection with swamy Vivekananda birth anniversary - National youth day. 20 teams all over Raichur District took part in this District level quiz competation. Manjunath G and Ramesh represented Govt. first Grade college, Raichur. Govt. Degree college of Sindhanuru and LVD college of Raichur bagged second and third place respectively. After final round evening prize distribution function was organized by All India Radio Raichur.
Senior Consultant and Neuro Psychiatrist Dr Manohar Y Pattar were inaugurated the function. He said youth is the main icon of this country. Quiz competition will increase the knowledge of youth and mental ability. Life is a challenge, you must accept it. You should think positive then you will win he said. 
This is the competition world. In this globalization era you must fight and win. Time factor is very important. To earning knowledge is very difficult rather than earning knowledge said by Chief Guest Kunteppa Gouripur. 
K. Ashok, Programme Executive in his presidential address said that failure and success doesn’t matter, participation is important. All India Radio always broadcast information, news and entertainment to the public. In other way it helps developing the nation. AIR is the only media, which reaches 98% of the Indian population. 
Venkatesh Bevinminaminchi welcome the gathering and gave synopsis of the quiz. Shilpa Reddy compeered the programme. Quiz was conducted by K. Ashok, Venkatesh B and scorer was Vijayashree. Technical support done by Sridevi, Engineering Head and Pandarinath, EA.Quiz contained question and answer round, right and wrong answer, audio round, rapid round. There was tough fight for first place in final round between Govt. First grade college, Sindhanur and Govt. first grade college, Raichur. Nagamani, Syed Zafer, Srinivas Kulkarni were present. More than hundreds of students witness the evening colourful prize distribution function.
